The room seemed to be crowded by variety of individuals, some wearing badges from different agencies. One of them stood beside a dry board that had a series of writings, photos, news paper clips, and numbers strewn across it's white surface. One of those men was a young agent named John Harris, who at this point already knew what this meeting was about.
"Good day ladies and gentlemen. As you know this investigation has been cold for a good while... A series of missing person cases. But through the media and the cooperation of families we've managed to light a fire in this darkness." The one standing said before proceeding to circle a few of the phrases on the board, some of them being dates, others being articles pertaining to the few missing people. One of the phrases stuck out from the others, an arrow being drawn to a question mark which was drawn to the term Fallen Shadows, that term was 'Ark Corp' "We have found a link between these two companies. As all of you are aware Fallen Shadows is currently taking the lead on researching a cure for a series of uncanny mutations. That link, ladies and gentlemen is our lead on this case. Now, I need a volunteer for this case.. Since it IS a cold case." Silence was the response from everyone as they exchanged glances amongst one another. "... Agent Harris! I understand since not many people are interested in cold cases and since you're still writing a report on that shooting... You will take this case!"
How did I know he was going to choose me? The agent sighed on the inside but on the outside he kept his professional composure, standing up and approaching a suited man who had a file in his hands.
"This entire room is yours to use on this investigation. John... Bring them kids home even if they're in a body bag. Its been years but atleast we could find some closure. Hell, maybe an angel was watching over them, maybe they're still alive."
