Hey, I'm Catharyn! I joined the Roleplayer Guild on 2nd Feb 2011, then rejoined on the 17th Jan 2014 after Guildfall.

I was active every day until late 2015, accruing (i think) around 7k posts across dozens of roleplays. Then, I started working and had to gradually slow down my RP schedule. In 2017, I officially went on hiatus when other commitments got fully in the way of roleplaying.

This continued until the COVID-19 pandemic hit, when I suddenly realised I had a lot more free time in lockdown! So in mid-2020, I returned to the Guild with a vengeance. I also managed to get The Cradle 1x1 off the ground - a story i've had percolating for almost a decade.

My posting schedule has slowed down a bit now that the world has opened up again. I still love science fiction, fantasy and espionage themes, and generally aim for around 300 words per post.

My hesitation with naming the vehicles after Earth animals is the issue that Outremer is a long way from Earth. It's also way into the future, so certain animals from Earth may have died out or never been heard of by the colonists. :( We should probably go for another naming scheme.

No, they stand on four legs (think table legs) and have a long thin upright body with four long arms ending in spindly fingers. I will find it if it kills me. That's an interesting piece of concept art though!

Quite insecty. Greenish grey, four to six arms, angular head.

In other news, i'm overhauling BESC's armory and vehicle base because last time they had a lot of outdated tech. Going to bring them right back up to speed. Can anyone think of a name for these two desert vehicles?

Great! I'm just trying to find the old picture i used for the Tindrel. It was absolutely perfect and i can't settle for any substitutes.

Of course. Can't have him being OP now. He'd also have a few command overrides installed in him a la Robocop, so that he couldn't flip back to the BESC, not that he'd ever want to. As for other limitations, I'd probably have him suffer from flexibility issues (due to his limbs being entirely cybernetic) as well as issues in regards to energy as well as overheating in the desert climate.

Okay cool Also, that seems reasonable enough. There'd have to be some trade off between strength and dexterity though.
