Hattie was invented by an old man named Felix de Gereas. She is made of gears, springs, tubes, oil and a couple of special enchantments.

Felix lost his wife, Matilda, three years into his marriage, back when he was young. He was left a son and two daughters, who's names were Josua, Abygale and Hattie (Hattie is an actual name, as I found out while making the story....) Josua, his son, was a sickly child and didn't live for very long. Abygale and Hattie, his daughters, were born as twins, but Hattie was still born. He recreated Hattie into a type of "robot" playmate for Abygale. The first time that the new Hattie was enchanted was with a normal summoning spell used to create golems. She could learn and do things, but she didn't have a conscious or emotions. She was basically just a robot trained to play with the little girl. As Abygale grew older, she started to use Hattie as her personal "maid". Felix spent most of his time away from home, fixing things for others and building things to help them. When he was home, he usually locked himself away to work on his inventions. Abygale never really knew her father...

Felix began to get sick with age. Abygale had stopped her schooling to be with her friends, who consisted mostly of the lesser people. She locked Hattie in her father's workshop to keep the metalloid golem from embarrassing her. Abygale... she found herself in a predicament that she couldn't back out of and died.

Felix didn't go into his workshop for several years after the accident due to his mourning. It took him a lot of courage to unlock those doors and enter again.

By that time, Hattie had collected a lot of dust. She was almost unrecognizable. Felix didn't even notice her for a couple months because she stood so still. The only reason why he did notice her was because she spoke.

" Where is Mistress?"

Abygale had taught her to say that. Hattie has managed to sense Felix's presence despite the dust covering her eyes. Felix cleaned the child golem and kept her in his workshop. Hattie learned how to build things by watching him. She was company for the old man.

The second enchantment followed seven years after Abygale's death. It's what gave her the ability to age, to think, to feel. It gave her imagination, consciousness and personality. She took the place of his lost family.

She ages very, very slowly. Felix was 67 when she came to true life. She was created to be a six year old girl. By the time that Felix died at the age of 93, Hattie was barely turning nine. Her aging is even slowing down. It took her half a century to turn 16. Another twenty years to gain another year. Meanwhile, she watched her world change without her. She made friends, lost friend. Allies. Enemies. She continued Felix's work, inventing new things and changing the old. She retained the same learning process as a golem, but she had the intelligence to change slightly. She could learn through the process of trial and error, but it takes her many, many trials to achieve her goal....

Hattie's Appearance-

Her head is the shape of an upside down teardrop. She has wavy ash brown with natural gold undertones. Her eyes are rather large and somewhat walnut shaped. The irises are bright blue-green towards the pupil and ringed with an emerald near the white. She has a somewhat small nose that's slightly rounded at the tip. Her lips are more of a heart shape and full. They're closer the colour of wild rose than a cultivated rose, though. She has high cheek bones and a gently rounded jaw.

Her dress covers nearly all of her skin. It has elbow length sleeves and is floor length, though there is no train behind it. It's a faded Victorian style dress. The overdress has a low collar and is sort of a siege colour, I suppose, only darker. More the colour of faded leather, to be honest.. It's a multi layer outfit. The chemise is rather frilly, with a high collar that covers her neck. It has yellowed with age and is a cream colour. It is only ankle length, though. She wears the Victorian style underclothes. She wears a pair of brown leather boots that almost go up to her knees and lace up in the front. As her name suggests, she does wear a top hat, which is also brown leather for protection against the rain. She does have alternative outfit, bit I won't describe that until she wears it.
Her shoulders are slender, but her hips are broad. She stands 4'8" without her hat. Her arms and torso are for the thinner side and can easily be undermined as fragile and weak, yet she is surprisingly strong. Her legs, however, are heavily muscled from all the walking and running she normally does.
I don't really know much about this site. A friend recommended it to me. I'm free to talk..
I'm not too terribly specific on the starter. I prefer making a new one for each roleplay that I start. I could possibly do a romance, but I tend to avoid it. I do Semi Para and Para. I'm new, so this post is a bit of an experiment...
