Appearance: Garrett is just over 6 feet tall with dark skin, brown/green eyes, and black hair that is normally kept pretty short. His clothing is typically a one-color polo-style shirt (usually green, white, or black), blue jeans, and black shoes.
Short Bio: When he was 16 years old, he dropped out of high school, due to personal issues in his life such, but during the last year, he's gotten his G.E.D. and moved to the city to pursue a new life and job.

@TrulyAwakenedI guess you are right, it would. Though, like RainbowReindeer had mentioned, either side of the email could make/refuse any offers. Though, one thing I'd like to see if it'd happen is a bully/geek penpal combo.

Yeah, I figured not a lot of people would be. While it would be an interesting idea, it does seem way too complex and I'd much rather have all of the RP documented. So, I'm going to have to turn down your idea now that I read Rin and Rainbow's posts, sorry, Chaotix.

Hey, I don't mind. Like I said, I wasn't too sure how it'd work out. However, the idea of using a fake name and such sounds pretty good too.

Just to clear up my thought, I was thinking that we would do the public part being normal interaction and such, which would include the wondering about who has who, friends hanging out, normal classwork, etc.

However, the email portion (the class assignment) being done via PMing like this:

Between the two ICs, we have enough interest for me to start drafting. That leaves me with a few questions for you guys:

• What is your preferred choice for a setting?
• What should we name the RP? I was considering naming the project something and then having that be the RP name.
• Suggestions, yo. Give me them.

I think that a mid-sized town would be okay, nothing super rural but nothing chaotic like New York.
Mail Troubles?
I'm not sure how well it'll work but I'm thinking maybe have it cross between PM and Public. For instance, the email portion of the RP could be done via sending you the RP and then having you forward it to the proper person? That would increase the unknown of who's getting who's email.

EDIT: I do like MercuryHg34's idea of it being a coastal city.

You know what, this does sound pretty nice. I think I'll go ahead and give it a shot, and it'll make a good 1st or 2nd RP here. Though, I do have a question: Are we RPing the school scene as well or just the emailing back and forth?

Dual-Souled

This is a story idea that I've been working on in my free time, but I'd like to also see what people think of it being a RP here. With that said the general idea of the story is as followed:

In a modern world there are people who have a gene that, without control of themselves, could ruin their lives and the lives of their own. This gene is one that allows a human to turn into a were-like version of an animal (real animals, please) and causes them to resort to, unless kept in check by the human-side, animistic thoughts. For example, a 13-year old kid with the gene could potentially turn into such a beast and kill his bullies if he gets picked on to the point of breaking down. From there, unless the person can get their thoughts together, they could run off and start to kill other people and things. For the hunters, they are menace that needs to be killed...forever, but others believe that they can be helped and taught to understand and control their impulses. However, what both parties don't understand is that not only does this second form change their body, but-visible or not-it's inside of their minds like a second soul-a dual soul.

ROLES
(1)The Dual-Souled/Beasthropes (names pending)

These people are the star of the RP, and, under most situations, they look and act like normal humans. However, they are able to hear the animal-side of themselves and others, and understand them as though the beasts spoke human words. If, for whatever reason, they lose focus of their beast spirit, it will be able to take over their body and mind until they are able to recollect themselves. In addition, they are able to hold mental conversations with their beast, and the beasts of others-and their hosts.

(2)Hunters/Collectors

These are people who hate the Dual-Souled/Beasthropes for whatever reason and wish to destroy/entrap all of them. Some are funded by the government, but many just regular people who take up arms against them.

(3)Helpers

These are people who understand that the Dual-Souled/Beasthropes aren't intentionally hurting anybody and believe that they are willing to put themselves in harms way to try to help them from the hunters and collectors.
