Bio: Nick grew up in the middle of the city of Brooklyn, living in a rundown apartment with his mother. His father had left when he was just a kid, with his mother always telling him how his daddy was a ‘no-good drunkard.’ The family didn’t have much money at all, and when Nick was still young he started doing some work here and there for the local mob, which made their presence very known. What started off as simple distractions and theft turned into coercions and interrogations, and when Nick was seventeen he beat a man to death with a lead pipe. It just so happened that the man he killed was a high priority target for the mob, and the leader took a shine to him and finally gave him a position beyond lackey. He saw greatness in Nick, whose sheer level of greed, shrewdness, and ambition at a young age suggested he would get far in the life of organized crime.

Years passed and Nick ventured through the glamorous highs and the brutal lows of gang life with ease, eventually becoming the second-in-command of the mob. He sent some money home to his mother and spent the rest on drinks, smokes, women, and weapons. And the whole time he was plotting the murder of the leader himself – and pinning the blame on some lower ranked nobodies. It worked without a hitch, and Nick finally accomplished his goal of leading what was now one of the most prominent gangs in the state. And he wanted it to be one of the greatest in the country.

For several years Nick ruled with an iron fist and a constant reach towards more power, becoming feared by many, including the ones who used to look down on him. But Nick’s reign of power came to an end one airy spring morning when he went to go confirm a deal that promised him considerably more influence. His arrogance and lust for power stopped him from seeing the warning signs, and upon arriving at the meeting point he was stabbed multiple times and finally shot in the head by some lowlifes whose lives he had ruined.

When he was eighteen years old, the determined young man decided he wanted to set off for Vegas. The journey was hazardous, and it wasn’t long until he found himself exhausted and overheated in the middle of the Mojave. When a group of raiders found him, he was ready to accept death, but by some stroke of what seemed at the time to be luck, one of the raiders knew him from childhood. The friend asked if he wanted to join them – promising caps, water, and companionship. Jeffrey joined quite eagerly, wondering if perhaps raiders weren’t always as bad as he had heard.

But they were. The things he would come to see them do made him question what constituted a human being. Jeffrey himself didn’t commit as much murder and destruction as the others, instead becoming the planner and the speaker of the group. But he still committed his fair share of violence and depravity, all the while despising the crude nature of it all. And yet despite this, Jeffrey stayed with them for many years. Perhaps it was the caps, perhaps it was the sense of being skilled and useful to a group, or perhaps he just didn’t know where else he would go. But Jeffrey stayed with them until he one day caught wind of some NCR rangers coming their way. He decided not to notify his fellow raiders, and when the NCR finally found them he pretended to be a prisoner. And it worked – they were all gunned down except for him, and they took him back.

Soon enough, Jeffrey managed to talk his way into getting a job of his own with them, where he later became a member of the Cabal. He felt that job was much more suited to him than his former occupation – oftentimes some well-chosen words and a bit of blackmail would do much more damage than a gun would. He grew fond of sophistication and had strong distaste towards thugs and brutes. After all, having the lived the life of a hoodlum he was all too aware of how easy it was for human beings to become animals. Jeffrey came to live in New Vegas, where he would frequently make deals regarding huge amounts of caps with the intention of the NCR having control of the riches flowing through the Mojave. And if worst ever came to worst, he wouldn’t hesitate to shoot someone who was no longer needed in the back.

Hello and welcome!

So I just joined this site like a couple hours ago and decided to bypass the usual lurk around for a few days waiting for something to happen phase I usually go through when I join sites. Get ready for an obnoxiously long post!

First off, the basics on me. I'm a girl who likes girls. Shockingly, I like to roleplay. Now I'm going to phase out a whole bunch of people - I am not looking to do a romantic roleplay. Look at that room clear. I'd like to try something platonic where the characters still potentially grow close, just none of that kissing stuff. Cooties and all that. If you think you might be up for trying something platonic, read on! Also, not sure if this a faux pas since we're in the 1x1 section and all - but I would totally be up for a small group (3-4 people.) In fact I might even prefer it. I'm just saying, if several people are interested in the same idea we might be able to work something out.

I want to see if we'd be good partners, partner:

Here's some info on what I'm like as a roleplayer, and some of the things I'd like you to be like. This is more for your sake so you can see if I'm the sort of person you want to play pretend with.

• I write 1-4 paragraphs per post on average. I'm a big believer in quality over quantity. I'll add in details and go into how my character feels, but I will not pad out a post because I feel like it's too short. I also enjoy fast-paced conversations in roleplays - if those should occur, I may be writing only 1-3 lines. Generally speaking though, expect a couple paragraphs per post.
• I have a life and you do too. Some days I'll be busy. I'll try and get in at least one reply per day, often more, but sometimes I can't. Make sure that's alright with you. On my side, I don't really care if I have to wait a while for a post. Hell, I don't mind waiting a week so don't worry if you can't post that often.
• Communication is key. I'm not the sort of person that likes to add in surprises to roleplays. I like to discuss what's happening and what will happen in the short-term and in the long-term. Otherwise, I find I lose motivation. If you're an in-the-now type, I may not be the right partner for you. Also, I'm the sort of person who likes to give roleplays an end. That means having a plot with a conclusion. I don't like dragging things out until both parties lose interest. As well, if you don't like where the RP is going or you want to leave it - let me know. You don't have to give a reason, I won't be mad. If you're losing interest, I totally get it, so don't feel guilty.
• Be alright with mature themes. If heavy language or dark themes get to you, I'm not right for you. Of course it depends on the character, genre, and setting, but make sure you're alright with that. I am pretty prone to making characters that aren't so likable.
• Sound the alarms, weeb alert. I'll use anime character representations in all RPs started because of this thread.
• Be okay with playing a female character. I'll most likely be playing a female character as well, although there's a chance I'll play a male one. But even though there's no romance involved (well, almost certainly not), I'd really rather you play a female character.

Alright, get it? Let's move on to the good stuff.

Plots and ideas:

I'll admit I haven't really fleshed most of these out. Hopefully we could do that together. Now, I'm writing some of these in a traditional pairing way, in an YxZ format, but remember - no romance. Not to say I won't have a flirty character or two though. There's a chance that after time passes in the roleplay, if the characters seem to have chemistry, romance might be cool. But I don't want to go in with that mindset.

Prompt thingies

Keep in mind that I literally have no other ideas beside what's written down, we'd have to plan together. Will add more when I think of more.

• You have moved into a quaint little town in the middle of nowhere. It doesn't take long for you to meet a strange girl with a sly smile who seems to know who you are, and that's not even getting started on all those unexplained disappearances and murders.
  
  A thriller/psychological/horror type roleplay - supernatural elements are a possibility.
• You are a princess with a wish you are most desperate to see realized. With almost all your hope gone, you summon a demon. What will the price be - and is it worth it?
  
  Fantasy with supernatural. The demon could also be changed into a genie since there's not enough genie stuff out there.
• You move into an old family home that can only be described as a mansion. Something feels off though - doors open when they shouldn't be and a chill running through the air. You soon meet a vengeful ghost who will not rest until she finds her murderer.
  
  Supernatural, mystery, horror
