"Yeah, it tastes pretty good." He'd take a bite into the hot-dog, laying by the tree. When he wasn't on duty, he seemed to be a pretty laid back type. "Wanna go take a bit of a walk around the center? I think that it's too beautiful of a day outside to just be sitting around and doing nothing." He'd hop upwards, going towards the center of the park. "Hmm... Let's see here.." He'd examine the area carefully, making sure to not trip on a rock or anything. still in earshot of Jones though, he was saying "Reminds me of a few years ago when I was walking along this very park, and I tripped and broke my nose because of a crack on the pavement. I managed to get $1000 Out of Greene, Since they are supposed to be the ones maintaining this. I doubt that they are still the ones still doing so, though." He'd continue to walk about, sorta just pacing around the park and looking at his surroundings.
I am prepped to continue.
"Was it truly worth it all in the end, to just kill a man over a job offer? You had Millions, a successful career in your future.. and you blew it all on homicide. Do you have any regrets for wasting your life away for some pity revenge plot? It truly wasn't all worth it in the end, even you must admit to that. Perhaps some time behind bars though... 20-30 years, would likely give you quite the bit of time to regret all of your actions, in the end-scheme. Perhaps you'll even begin to realize that money and pride aren't the only things to a happy life, perhaps? But, i'm not sure if you'll ever understand that. Just think about it though, you saw all of those lower-class people who could barely afford anything, and they lived such happy lives. Is that not indication that pride and money aren't the only things to life that make someone have worth? But, I digress. just keep my words in mind while you are rotting away in a jail-cell for a good chunk of your remaining life. anyways, Jones. Take him away, that is all i had to say."
"Oh.. Such a thing doesn't exist, Harry? I doubt that, really. Because...that dooms you, infact! The fact that the sword was placed back down...we can easily check the timestamp and confirm Kate wasn't there at the time. and furthermore, remember that note? Ya'know.. The one which your fingerprints should be on, but I can ensure you we will get glove prints. In-fact... they are on almost everything you touched, if I were to bet. That ripped up contract, which you've particularly conceded to doing with admitting my motive was valid, those which we could easily get from the whisky bottles, and finally. the ones on the sword and it's sheath. considering the facial cream too, all the more evidence against you...however, if those gloves match up, I can ensure you that all of that evidence alone will be enough to be the very thing to convict you. Oh, and do me one more favor. Rewind that footage a bit more, try to scan through it... and you'll see if we can pick up anything else. But either way, I do believe this is Checkmate. Anything to say until we get the evidence that'll doom you?"
"You returned the katana to set up a line of defense. You knew for a fact that there had been.. Troubles between Samuel and His Ex-lover. If she was the one around the casino, and the katana was found there. who'd that incrimate? And furthermore, I have already explained both times how you slipped back in. From what I am aware of, she is the one responsible for keeping the list. All you would have to do is hide in the stock room for a few moments, slip past her and put down the katana. Then end up leaving. And the first time, was because of the mass distraction. in other words, you wouldn't have to go past that list at all. The motive was to frame Kate, known by your partnership with samuel, and the list can easily be bypassed by the two times nobody was raelly paying attention to it. That is all, do you have any more questions about that?
"Oh? and then what happens when he gets out of there? I admit, he went into a Taxi. However... You have to keep in mind this, he would've still had to walk into the market itself. AND go into the stock market in itself, using a key-card. that's quite the bit of walking and coordination he'd have to do.. and furthermore, the reason nobody heard his screams of death? it's simple. He couldn't, even if he wanted to. The mixture of Vodka and sedatives were enough to make him almost completely unaware of what was occurring until the last moments, where he tried to fight... But the sedatives were still strong enough for him to not be able to scream out for help. Any rebuttals at all to that, Mr. Crane?"
"oh, theres a extremely good distraction. Remember that bad fight that had occurred? With Kate and Samuel, that would've attracted quite the bit of attention. not only diverting hers, but everyone else's. attention away. It would be a large enough distraction, anyways. Plus, you waren't found among st the party-goers. Meaning you must've left before the party crashed. Furthermore, theirs the fact that you were both sedchulded to be there at night to "prove who's better". In fact, that even further proves the fact that you cared a lot about your pride, and status within the stock market. Either way, the logic and Circumstantial evidence is more than enough to prove you were definitely there at the time of the crime. And before you try to rebutt with "That note was from a earlier date", why would he still have it on him then? and furthermore, why would our killer try so hard to make sure that the note was unreadable before leaving? And the FUNNIEST BIT. With those sedatives in him, theres no way he would've been able to get all the way to the casino and the market without some sort of support, he was drugged out of his mind.
"Well, for one. We found a powder of the same substance. It's a easy matter. Just switch out the undrugged bottle with the already pre-drugged one, take a few shots from it, then add in the powdery substance. You'd easily be able to getting drugged, while he was getting all of the chemicals himself. even if you got a bit in your body, it would be enough for you to compose yourself and continue your plot. And Kate wasn't in the casino all night. and you REALLY expect her to be able to keep track of 50+ people all at once? That'd be a physical impossibility. so just wait for when she's distracted.. preferably when shes in a argument or planting a note on a table, perhaps. to snatch the sword. And then, you just had to wait for her to leave for a few moments. You could easily had hid in the stock room, where you tore up that contract. And then left the room, then went out and left the sword in itself in the casino. Best part? Both of these times, she was distracted. so you wouldn't even have to sign your name on the list and you could get away with it."
"It's simple, really. We discovered that one of the bottles of vodka didn't have any Herbiatures from it. While your partner could've very easily drank that bottle, or been drugged through other means. You could very easily had just poured from the bottle that had no drugs in it, and you would've been fine. Not like anyone would've saw the difference, in the end. it was a bottle of vodka, right? Who cared if it looked slightly different, booze is still booze, in the end. no?" He said in a rather bold and confident tone, knowing that Crane was likely the type to get scared whenever someone was actually going to try and stand up against him, like Charles had just began to do right then and there. "Plus, we can always check for glove prints on that bottle. I'm sure it'll compare with the sword and the torn note's."
"For one, we have no clue if you have a class 2 key-card or not. we never clarified that... However, you are quite the powerful man. I'm sure that if Greene trusted you, and you had the money. You could easily buy your way into a class 2 key-card. And how to prove he didn't rip it in half? He had no motive to. Plus the fact he has an airtight alibi, which can be reinforced if necessary. He was upstairs the entire time, and didn't go downstairs once. Furthermore, he would have no motive to destroy the contract until after the murder itself had occurred. And the best part is? Even if you did or didn't, it doesn't change the motive in the slightest. In-fact, it makes it even worse for you. If we find glove-prints on the note in itself, and since Greene and Kate- the only two other potential suspects. have airtight alibis, with one being upstairs at the time of the murder and the other not even having a level 2 key-card... That leaves only you with the MMO to do so."
