Hayate Hyūzu
Konoha Genin - Team 2

Following closely behind Kiyomi, Hayate brought his thoughts to the mission ahead. He had already gotten off to a poor start by arriving late, and he had no wish to make a worse impression to his new team, even if he had prior experience with them. Kiyomi's mention of their combat capabilities brought Hayate's attention back to the present and he looked up, just catching her eyes as she looked away. His thoughts now clouded, Hayate barely heard Kiyomi's next words. As she asked whether or not they had any objections, Hayate responded. "No Kiyomi-sama. Will we be splitting up when we arrive?"

Noticing that they were exiting the boundaries of the village, Hayate tried to bring his thoughts under control once again. He kept his gaze ahead, keeping pace with the others. He was excited for this mission, he only hoped that he would be able to keep his thoughts on it, and not get distracted. He wasn't worried so much about the stealth element of this mission, nor did he doubt his teammates skills. Hayate's only real concern was how they would all work together. It had been awhile since he had had a chance to train with either of them, and Hayate knew it would take awhile to work out all of the kinks. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts Hayate chastised himself. This doubt, it wasn't like him. Looking forward he locked his gaze momentarily on Kiyomi. He hadn't been the same since - - Now was not the time to be thinking of the past. Hayate returned his gaze to the path ahead and focused on moving forwards.
I'm all in!! (If you'll have me of course ;) )
@PURRfect93

Just one thing I was a little confused with at the moment :p Your character is 13 but 6'6" tall? Wasn't sure if that was a mistake or anything, just noting that that would be an incredibly tall 13 year old.

@ GlitchyBugger:

Seeing as there hasn't been a review for your characters in a little while I shall do so :)

(Unfortunately I can't accept characters yet but I will offer suggestions and then speak with the other GM's to get them to approve or not).

So for Niji,

I don't really have a problem with anything. Just a couple of suggestions for you, if you wouldn't mind adding the skills/abilities section and keeping it different from the special traits section. Things like the specializing in fuuinjutsu and kenjutsu would fit more in the skills/abilities section as opposed to special traits. If you add that section you may be able to add a few extra things such as decent chakra control etc. If that was what you were wanting for your character. The only thing I am a little confused with is the Shuriken Stick:

GlitchyBugger said
Shuriken Stick A compartmentalised stick with four seals on it, all four seals containing five kunai and five shurikens, upon activation, the seal fires the shuriken and kunai out in a buck-shot fashion. They are fired at the speed of a thrown shuriken. It's a pale, octagonal stick with three lines and hinges to show where to break away for the next seal. The stick is locked together enough to be used for melee combat as well. The length of the stick is 5 feet.

I am not sure how I feel about this weapon. As it stands it's basically a gun that is made to fire kunai and shuriken. It's not the weapon that I necessarily have a problem with as there have been crazier things, but I am a little confused as to why a character that refuses to kill would own a weapon like it? Perhaps if you specify why she has it or that she only uses it in special circumstances, something along those lines would really help to clear things up.

That's it for my notes on Niji. I will take a look at your other character in a little bit here and then give my notes on her as well.

Mission Time: Taking down the Turtle

Shikaroku cursed inwardly as the turtle fought against his shadow imitation and began spinning rapidly. As the chunks of mud shot outwards towards the three of them, Shikaroku heard Masami call out her plan through the communicator. Moving his body slightly to avoid the first projectile, Shikaroku noticed a much larger chunk of mud heading directly for him. Instead of breaking his Shadow Imitation by dodging, he instead extended his shadow to cover his own body as well, creating a shadow shield which would block the mud from hitting him directly.

Glad that someone else had come up with the idea, Shikaroku set his sights on controlling the turtle's movement once again. This time he used his Shadow Neck Binding technique to increase his hold on the turtle. As the shadows wrapped themselves around the turtle, its movement began to slow. Shikaroku's brow furrowed with concentration as he focused on stopping the beast's spinning. He could feel the dull throb starting in his head and shrugged it off. He wasn't going to let it get the better of him. Not today.

"I will hold the beast in place! Mia, see if you can draw his head out so that Masami can use her technique to bring this thing down!" Shikaroku spoke through the communicator. He increased the amount of shadows covering the turtle and was rewarded with its spin slowing to a halt. Shikaroku felt dizzy and involuntarily dropped to one knee. Still, his shadow held. The turtle was not moving, and Shikaroku had done his part to help complete the plan. He only hoped that his team would be alright with the rest, if not, well... he wasn't sure how much he had left before the migraine came back and significantly reduced his effectiveness. From what he had seen so far of his teammates however, he did not doubt that they would be able to handle their tasks. A small smile touched Shikaroku's face despite the growing pain in his head. He liked his team.

Kirigakure - Meeting the Students

Stepping through the mist, Takeshi was finally fully visible to his three students. He watched as the student who had shown up late, Jizo it looked like, sauntered up to the others muttering about something. Takeshi smiled inwardly, but on the outside his face still held its neutral look. He looked from Jizo on to the next student, the female, which had to be Natsume. She had seemed to notice his presence before the others had. Takeshi found that quite interesting, he'd have to keep an eye on her. Shifting his gaze once again, he settled on Ryu. The boy seemed to have some skill at kenjutsu, this was also something he would watch carefully.

Finally, Takeshi adopted an expression of disinterest. Looking down at all three of his students, he spoke lazily. "Well it appears at least two of you show some initiative. That is good to see." As he said this, Takeshi fired a small glare Jizo's way. Looking back at the group he continued. "My name is Takeshi Shun. And it appears that I have the pleasure of being your sensei." His tone was a mixture of sarcasm and amusement. Takeshi cocked his head slightly, keeping up the lazy demeanour he had grown so used to. His eyes betrayed him however, and they shone with a keen interest as he spoke his next words. "Well, now that I have introduced myself I think it is only fair for you all to do the same. Introduce yourselves to me, and to each other. And, if you'd be so kind, tell me a little bit about yourselves as well."

He stared at the three students in front of him, awaiting their replies.

Konoha - Mission: Bringing down the Turtle!

Shikaroku had fallen into formation as soon as Hiron had given the orders. Coming into the clearing he caught his first glimpse of the massive turtle. "hmm." Was all he thought to himself. He watched Mia send her Ninken around the lake. It was clear what she was planning, and Shikaroku was glad that someone else was also thinking tactically.

Instead of acting immediately, Shikaroku took notice of his surroundings. He noticed Hiron hanging back behind the team, his features difficult to read. As Shikaroku turned back to face the giant turtle, he heard Masami call out. Observing how she attacked, Shikaroku was slightly surprised to see that she knew how to use Water Release. While it wasn't unheard of, it was certainly unusual for Hyuuga clan members to use different Chakra Natures. Noticing how Masami had distracted the turtle, Shikaroku smiled. It had given him valuable time.

Using the distraction, Shikaroku moved quickly to get behind the turtle. Taking advantage of the turtle's large shadow, Shikaroku used his Shadow Imitation technique. His shadow darted swiftly across the ground and connected with the large beast's. Not allowing himself to get too excited yet, Shikaroku held his ground, hoping that his technique would work, and that he'd be able to hold the turtle in position. For how long, he didn't know. But he hoped it would give them enough time to formulate a plan to take the turtle down.

Speaking quickly into his communicator he addressed his comrades. "Mia, Masami. I think I've got him pinned, at least for the moment. If you can, see if you can find and target this thing's weak points. We need to find a way to drive him from the water. If he gets there then he will have the advantage. Any ideas?" Shikaroku knew that he'd be able to come up with something if necessary, but he was trying hard not to over-exert himself. If he brought on another migraine he would be of no use to his teammates. He would have to rely on their skills which, something told him, wasn't going to be all that hard.

Konoha Training Fields

His eyes opened in a panic. What time was it?? Looking around quickly, Hayate realized that he was not at home in his bed. A look of puzzlement crossed his face before he remembered where he was. Rolling over, Hayate managed to sit up. He slowly remembered passing out in the training field after spending the whole night pushing himself to the point where he could push no more. Exhausted, he had collapsed under a tree and fallen asleep.

Shaking his head at his own foolishness, Hayate stood up. He had pushed himself too hard, wanting to show Kiyomi that he was ready, and that he could handle himself. He wanted to make a good impression to his new team, but now he was going to look even more foolish.

Hayate brushed himself off and started running. He didn’t know how late he was, but he only hoped that he hadn’t missed meeting with his team altogether. As he continued to run, Hayate felt energized, as if his few hours of restless sleep had somehow replenished his stamina. Perhaps his training was paying off.

Hayate began to slow as he caught sight of Leo and Kiyomi. He paused, even now it was strange seeing her like this. A smile tugged at his lips, either way it was good to have her back. Shaking the thoughts from his head, Hayate jogged forwards, calling out to his team. “Hi Leo-san, hello Kiyomi-sama.” As he grew closer to the pair, Hayate had to resist the urge to bow his head in shame. He knew that would only worsen his situation. Walking forwards, he locked eyes with Kiyomi. “My apologies for being late Kiyomi-sama. It will not happen again.”

Weapons:

A pistol that belonged to one of his best-friends, and a combat knife.
Supplies: A surgeon’s kit with various supplies such as bandages, scalpels, cleaning alcohol, etc. A Leatherman (basically a swiss army knife but a little bit larger, and with more tools). Enough ammo for three extra clips for the pistol. A Cree flashlight, and a mask that hides his face.

Personality: Walker is warm and friendly with others that he meets, and he is usually quite optimistic. Since the aliens arrived, he has become slightly less open with people he doesn’t know, and he can be quite reserved at times. Once he warms up to someone though Walker is loyal and caring.

History: Walker was born and raised in Vancouver, B.C. Canada. When he graduated from high school he decided to follow his dream of becoming a surgeon. Deciding to go to school in Seattle, Washington due to its close proximity as well as its highly regarded surgical program, Walker made the move. He settled in quickly and found it quite easy to make friends.

Not wanting to get burnt out by only focusing on his schooling, Walker decided to join some of the extra curricular clubs that the school offered. This is where he learned to wrestle, and also where he learned a little bit of mixed martial arts. Walker was not in either program long enough to consider himself a master, but he did pick up several skills from them.

Somewhere along the way, Walker also began joining his friends in their airsoft games, something he found himself to be quite good at. For him it was a way of working off the stress of constant homework and exams. Walker was quick to pick up on the general strategies of combat, something that would unknowingly come in handy in the years to come.

When the aliens attacked, Walker was in the final year of his studies to become a trauma surgeon. He was at the school when he found out about the people being taken, and the alien sightings becoming more and more frequent. Fearing for his family, Walker decided to leave the school and make the trek back to his home in Canada.

Before he could leave, however, the school was shut down and people started going missing. Walker and a few of his closest friends fled the school in an attempt to get away from the aliens, and the humans who were working alongside them. On their way out of the student-housing complex, Walker’s group was attacked and almost all of them were either killed or captured. Walker managed to escape; collecting what little equipment he could from what was left behind.

He is now torn between making his way back to Canada to find out what has happened to his family, and trying to find a way to free his friends from the aliens who captured them.
