Takeshi Shun
Kiri Jounin - Team 2

Taking Natsume's silence as its own kind of answer, Takeshi simply nodded and headed out. As they exited the forest, he slowed his pace down to a casual walk. The farm wasn't far from the forest's edge and Takeshi was not in a huge rush to get there. As he walked up to the farm he took notice of his surroundings.

There was nothing spectacular about the farm itself. It was of average size and clearly very old. There was a fairly sturdy fence around the perimeter of the farm, and it showed no signs of being damaged. Aside from the main farmhouse, Takeshi could see the animal holding pens. There were several of them arranged around the farm. A few of the pens showed signs of external damage and Takeshi made a mental note to check them out later.

Approaching the door to the farm, Takeshi glanced back to ensure that Natsume was following him. Giving her a brief reassuring smile, he turned back to the door and knocked. After a brief pause a disheveled old man opened the door a crack. "Who is it? What do you want?" Takeshi gave the man a warm smile. "My name is Takeshi Shun, and this is my student." He gestured towards Natsume. He was careful not to offer up her name, as he felt she would prefer to keep that to herself. If she offered it up herself then that was fine, but Takeshi wasn't about to breach whatever small amount of trust he may have had with her. "We have been sent to help with your animal problem." The old man looked at the pair with suspicious eyes. "Only two of you!? I asked them to send me a full team of capable shinobi, not a single jounin and his sidekick." The man's disrespectful tone was getting on Takeshi's nerves and he fought to keep his patience. "We were sent to take care of a small pest problem, which hardly seems like the kind of thing that would require more than two capable shinobi to take care of. Also, next time you refer to my student with anything but respect we will turn around and leave you to deal with this yourself. Do we have an understanding?"

The old man seemed quite taken aback and quickly dropped his prior attitude. "Y...yes sir. I am sure the two of you will be more than enough. I meant no disrespect." Takeshi smiled briefly, a smile that never touched his eyes. "Good. Now perhaps we could go inside and discuss the details of these animal attacks?" The old man simply nodded his head vigorously and opened the door all the way, gesturing for the two of them to come in. As he walked back into his house, Takeshi stepped into the doorway. Pausing, he spoke to Natsume without turning, his previous friendly tone replaced with a tone of barely repressed anger. "I am sorry for that. I will not have any of my student's referred to in such a manner." Composing himself he stepped through the doorway, hoping that Natsume would not be far behind.
Leaping from the Larty CT-1444 landed on semi-solid ground and immediately took in his surroundings. Troopers all around him were laying heavy fire into the amassing droid forces, attempting to clear a path to get out the remaining Jedi. CT-1444, also known as Wolf to his comrades, watched as the droids swelled up to meet this new threat. Bringing his DC-15A to bear, Wolf quickly sighted and dispatched two battle droids. As he sighted a third, he realized that the droid's were closing in quickly. Firing once again, Wolf took down the third droid before pivoting to avoid blaster fire from another. Ramming his rifle into a B1's midsection, Wolf opened fire, punching a hole right through it and dropping it like a pile of scrap. Switching to his DC-15S, Wolf began firing indiscriminately into the throng of droids. Despite his best efforts and the efforts of the troopers around him, they didn't seem to be making much of a dent in the ever growing droid numbers.

Between the blasterfire, Wolf heard as Falcon called out the order for Alpha squad to reconvene and extract the Jedi. Pulling out his sidearm Wolf sprinted forwards with several of his comrades. Firing now with both his DC-15S and his pistol, Wolf carved a violent path through the droids. He felt a shot glance off his side and quickly responded by whipping his pistol around to take off the head of the droid that shot him. Quickly assessing the damage, Wolf concluded the damage to be minimal and continued on his charge to reach the small group of Jedi. After several more seconds Wolf reached the perimeter of the survivors and turned his attention to dispatching any droids that came too close to the Jedi.

The shadows overhead alerted Wolf to the approaching LAAT/i's. Continuing to focus on eliminating the droids surrounding the evacuating Jedi, Wolf gestured at them to get to the ships. As they passed him by, he quickly closed in behind them defending their retreat. Wolf fired shot after shot into the approaching droids and slowly backed his way towards Striker Eureka. Only once the last of the Jedi had entered the ship would Wolf board. Turning his attention back to the droids, Wolf hoped that time would come soon.

They were nearing their objective now. Takeshi slowed his pace, coming to a stop near the edge of the forest. Turning to face Natsume he waited for her to close in a little bit before speaking. "Our destination lies just beyond this forest. An old farmer is having difficulty with some of the wildlife attacking his prized animals. He has asked for help in dealing with the predators. That is why we are here. Do you have any questions before we head out?" Takeshi scratched the back of his neck with one hand again, staring at Natsume. He assumed that she wouldn't reply, but he wanted to at least give her a chance to ask any questions she might have. As it was, Takeshi thought the mission would be a very simple one, and he was confident that they wouldn't need any added help.

Noticing Natsume beginning to follow, Takeshi picked up the pace a bit. As they moved through the forest he realized that she was staying back just a little further than necessary. After some time Takeshi turned his head to look back at the girl. He spoke softly as he realized that Natsume was probably confused as to why he'd singled her out. "I'm not your enemy you know." He looked forwards again and made sure that they were following the right course. "I suppose I should explain why I left those two behind back there. I owe you that much at least."

Takeshi turned his once again and glanced back at Natsume. Giving her a reassuring smile he continued, "I know it's not normal practice for a sensei to split up his team on their first meeting, but you'll find that I'm not really a 'normal' teacher. I believe that a team is only as strong as its weakest link. In order to find out where that link is, however, one must study the links independently. That is why I chose to split you three up. I chose you first Natsume because you seemed to be the most observant of the three and, to be honest, I'm curious to see what you can do. The mission that we are going on is a simple one. It should not prove too challenging, even for a team of two." Takeshi reached up and absently scratched the back of his neck. He wasn't quite sure how to get through to this girl, but he wasn't going to just give up on getting her to talk. "If you have any questions for me Natsume, about this mission or anything really, please don't feel like you can't ask me." With that Takeshi continued forwards, waiting to see if the girl would reply.

Staring at the silent crowd in front of him Takeshi let out an exasperated sigh. Pinching the bridge of his nose he slowly shook his head. "Great start Takeshi... great start." He muttered quietly to himself. Looking back at the three in front of him he made a decision. At least one member of his team had responded to him... if you could really call it that. Pointing at the two boys, Takeshi spoke, "You two are needed back at the academy for a mission. I will speak with you afterwards." He was lying of course, but they didn't need to know that. He just didn't feel like dealing with three silent students all at once. Turning back to Natsume he paused. He could feel right away that it was going to take a lot to drag the girl out of the shell she'd put herself in. "You, Natsume, are with me. We have a mission to complete." With that he turned and began moving. He did not set out at a very fast pace. But he would give Natsume enough time to catch up with him.

what has appened to team 9 i haven't seen a post from the other team 9 members in ages

I'm just waiting on Foxy to post with Masami. There's not much more Shikaroku can do at the moment, as he did his part for the combination, and is just waiting for Masami to make her move on the turtle. If Fox can't post for awhile I can have Shikaroku do something, but I just wanted to give him a chance to have Masami end it.
Naming code: CT-1444
Rank: Private
Callname: Wolf
Appearance:

Wolf has the symbol of a Mythosaur skull on one shoulder to honour his Mandalorian heritage. On his other shoulder he has the symbol of a wolf, the animal he feels a kinship too. Wolf has a small soul patch which is the only facial hair he keeps.

Personality: The personification of a 'Lone Wolf,' he truly lives up to his name. Wolf prefers to keep to himself and closes himself off from others, even his own clone brethren. A quiet man at the best of times, Wolf finds very few reasons to speak, and even those who he is closest with find it hard to get much out of him. He is a kind man, but he can appear cold and uncaring due to his quiet nature.

History: While training on Kamino, Wolf did everything he could to learn about his Mandalorian heritage, believing it to be the best way to become the perfect soldier. He did not get much 'free' time but he used almost all of it to learn. This is probably the cause of his independence.

Equipment: Four thermal detonators, a DC-15S blaster and a modified DC-15A rifle with a scope that allows for longer ranged and more accurate shooting, a combat knife, a DC-15s side-arm pistol, a pair of macrobinoculars and a medical kit.

Mission Time With Kiyomi-Sensei and Leo-San

He had kept up the pace close behind Kiyomi for what felt like hours already. Their journey so far had been a silent one, and Hayate felt no need to break it now. He knew they must be getting close to their destination now and for a split second he considered asking Kiyomi if they would arrive soon. His logic won over his curiosity however, and Hayate held his tongue. She would tell them when they were close, asking would be a pointless venture. Staring ahead, Hayate continued with their fast pace, he was excited for this mission.

Nodding at Natsume, Takeshi noticed her hesitance to divulge any more details about herself other than her name. Natsume's tone was colder than Takeshi would have liked and he frowned slightly. Neither of the other Genin's had spoken yet so Takeshi decided to try and get a little more out of the girl. Dropping the sarcastic tone from before, he spoke. "Well Natsume, it is nice to meet you. I must say I am impressed. There aren't many Genin I know that would take on a sword armed only with a kunai. And fewer still who would hold their own as well as you did." Takeshi smiled, this time genuinely. "So tell me, Natsume, I have seen your skill with water release, what else are you capable of?" He asked sincerely, hoping this time that she would offer up more than three words in response.
Thanks Foxy, and thanks Roro! Sorry, I'm just getting more wifi access now. Didn't have it for a couple of days there in the hotel. I will be home in about 7 hours and I'll have a CS up asap! :)
