Matsuka has every reason to have an itchy trigger finger right now. She's several hours away from a battle in which her and everybody around her dying is a distinct possibility.

If you'll pay attention Matsuka trained in COMBAT, not subterfuge. Her entire shinobi life has been missions where force, not finesse was required. And she didn't ask "what's happening" the second time, she asked "what's going to happen to us", and the question was mostly rhetorical.

Also for future reference I abhors using silly emoticons to indicate satire. Just assume I'm fooling around unless the thing I'm commenting on is obviously an issue, or I say something like "seriously"

Euro is pretty good at jumping to conclusions. Matsuka hasn't really done anything to mark her as more than a paranoid person in a pretty much entirely rebel friendly area, but ruro seems convinced she's a hardcore rebel and by extention so is anyone she wants to talk to away from strangers.

"Yes I have, but I recently broke my sword. I've ordered a new one just yesterday." Matsuka was faintly disappointed that he hadn't seemed to understand her question, but it didn't show on her face. She moved outside the stall with him and pulled out a cigarette, putting it between her lips. For a second she didn't light it, then shrugged with a 'what the hell' expression and struck a match, holding her hand in front of the flame as she brought it close to the end. She blew out a stream of smoke with a sigh and looked into the darkening sky.

"What do you think's going to happen to us?" She asked suddenly, keeping her voice low. Her eyes looked uncharacteristically sad as she thought about squat had to happen tonight.

I didn't think languages known was neccasary, like I didn't mention. That she can sew, or cook, or dabbled in poetry.

Isn't this guy a member of Anbu? I would think the elite shinobi spies would learn sign language for silent communication.
