Personality: Claire is even tempered and graceful, and always has a plan to follow. She has an appetite for information, and often will trade or pay for bits of knowledge. In combat, she is not above using trickery and cunning to win her fights, and likely would have attended the Tacticians Academy had her life taken a different path.
Biography: Claire's parents were killed by bandits when she was still very young. She has no memories of her familly, besides the red haired trader who presumably rescued her from the same fate. The merchant raised her as they traveled, and Claire learned about commerce and trade with the same importance as reading and writing. In many ways, the merchant was very much like a mother to her, so it came as a shock on her fifteenth birthday when she was told it was time for her to leave.
She survived on her own, of course. She had spent her life learning the ways of a merchant, and she saw no reason to give up such a profitable path. She drew out a route between Ferox and Ylisse, moving from tow to town carrying goods and news for anyone willing to pay for it. Since she couldn't carry much on her own, she wound up dealing with the latter more than the former, and people began calling her the Informerchant. After two years she's still in business, and prides herself in the accuracy of her information.
