I always thought skendar's clothes and weapons were made frome his essence, meaning that if he lost his sword his maximum size would decrease.
After googling the word "irony", i have become genuinely concerned for our nations education. It seems that about 80% of the people in the world don't actually understand what "ironic" means.
Alteral turned his head toward the other vampire, grimacing. A hundred and eighty years of experience told himto kill it on the spot, but the last twenty spoke louder. "Not as such no, there was a time that all I needed was the sun. I do have something else that works on us though." He reached back through the Tear he made, calling more power. Grabbing the other man's arm, he sent his healing magic to fonish the job of the vampire blood. "Luckily my healing isn't based on my religion." He said, pulling his hand back, "Maybe it's time I start learning some new tricks. If we get out of this how about you teach me some?" Suddenly a lurker dived at them, and he had to jump away. Landing on it's back, he stabbed his flattened hand into it's eye, hitting it's brain. A quick shot of healing and his broken finger realigned, but he knew he needed to slow down. If he kept using his magic like this, he would be devoured.
Luna leapt across to join Esailia, looking down as she did. Below her there was a child and her mother trapped by one of the beasts. Looking around quickly, she spotted a couple of potted plants and grabbed them. Running back over, she dropped one of the plants on the Lurker with uncanny accuracy, making it look up. The second plant hit it square in the face, and the creature reared back, letting the two escape. Turning back to Esailia, she said "What? That wasn't fighting, it's a grey area."
Luna grabbed the gemstones from the rug, knowing that they were the most valuable thing there and the easiest to carry, and quickly looked for a way out. Glancing up, she saw a path she could take to the roof by instinct. "You lived in the forest, right?" She said over the noise. "Come on, follow me." Throwing her bag over her shoulders, she leapt straight up to grab an overhang, pulled herself up towards a window sill, and jumped the last few feet to get to the roof of the building. Luckily the houses and buildings in this part of the city were grouped close together, so they could easily jump across the rooftops for a while. Reaching down to give her charge a hand up, she said "Come on, we need to make it to the wall!"
*Does nothing, doesn't get hit because that would ruin the character image*

As each person chose their weapon and took their shots, Lauren shook her head slowly. Walking over the the weapon wall, she chose a long knife and two hand axes with curved handles. Holding them easily between her fingers, she walked over to the group and handed Alec the knife and passing the axes to Luke. "You two should be training with these." Turning to the rest of the group, she said "When fighting in a group, the best way to lose is to do your own thing. If all of you use guns, all it takes to kill you is someone quick enough to get close. A good team has talents that complement each other, meaning some of you should focus on close combat, and some of you should focus on ranged. Alec, Luke, I want you to try those weapon out. Irene, I want to see how you handle that sword. The rest of you put your weapons back and talk to Rhia, she wants to give you a test or something to see how much education you've been through."
*catches tantrum and throws it back*
Alehk, I'm not saying you're fired, but you're fired.

You're only as clumsy as your inability to know what you're doing. But I digress. I've recetnly picked up Dark Souls and I'm trying to get a hang of it's brutality.

I would say good luck but that implies there's a chance of success. You dont "get used" to Dark Souls, you let it bend you over and hope it doesn't break you like a twig.
