Alex held her for a minute before letting go. "We should probably get going, classes will start soon." He hesitated for a moment, then leaned down to kiss the top of her head. "Thank you for keeping your promise. I'm glad you came back to me." Then he turned to unfreeze the door. "We should get something to eat first." He said, trying to hide the slight flush on his face.
You probably skipped over the PM. Whatever, I'm about to post anyway, but I'm not sure how much longer I'll be home.

Alex looked away, lowering his voice to a whisper. "I did." The scar looked ancient, running in a thick line from the bottom of his collarbone down to below his waist. "That was my first day on my own. I lost control of the fire on a bus. I could heal the scar now, but I keep it to tell myself I'm still human." He turned away and buttoned his shirt again. "I'd rather not talk about my past. It brings back too many painful memmories. I just wish I could forgrt it all." Suddenly he turned around and embraced her. "Oh, Nyx, please. Promise you'll ne er leave me again? I'll find a way to keep you alive myself, so please stay with me. If you left again I don't know what I'd do."
Alex looked at her, considering. "I'd actually prefered it if you stayed with me today. I'll be teaching some classes myself, but there are a few people here I don't want you to meet alone." Primarily Z He thought, finishing with his buttons. For a moment she could see a burn scar all the way down his chest, but he covered it up before she got a good look. Anyway you'll be safer with me for now. I promise I won't leave you again, I just lost my head yesterday."
Alex woke to the sound of running water and musical laughter, and realized that yesterday had actually happened. He decided he should change himself and took his normal work attire from the closet. Once he had gotten out of the old clothes, he breathed in slowly, building up flame in his body, then let it out. The flames cleansed his body better than water could, and was faster. With that done, he started putting his clothes on. He was just buttoning his shirt when Nyx walked in. Taking a second to understand what she asked, he averted his eyes, though part of him wanted to keep looking. In the years they had been apart, she had become even more stunningly beutiful. "Well, uh, the dress should be long enough. Just be careful for now, I'll arange something for you today."
