In an instant, without his normal flame, Alex was there next to her. "Nyx..." He said, reaching out for her. The flames started to burn his skin, something not even Z's fire had ever been able to do, but he ignored it. He took her in his arms and stroked her hair, talking to her in a quiet voice. "It's alright Nyx, everything is going to be alright. I'm here now, don't be afraid, don't worry." He kept stroking her hair and whispering to her until she could bring herself under control. "You're alright Nyx, I won't let anything hurt you."

It shouldn't be hard for her to find Alex when she's ready. He's still sitting where she left him and probably will be until he realizes he's sitting alone in the hallway.
