Caroline had managed to shrug out of her shirt and was laying on her back, arms spread out, but she was still burning up. Glancing over at Kyron's shocked expression, she shook her head. "Don't worry, it's nothing. My brother calls it manaburn, and it's caused by the influx of power you get when you use up everything you have." Then a thought occurred to her, and she grinned. "Or were you surprised that I'm topless? I hope you're not planning anything ungentlemanly. I'm still too weak to fight you off you know."

And if Caroline could read minds she would slap him, then kiss him, then slap him again for the thought he had when she kissed him

"Oh you know, having an internal struggle about whether to ask a girl I just met out or just make not so subtle comments to try and grab her attention. Apparently the second option is winning." As he passed through the water, he shook his head sardonically. "It's like they designed this cave specifically so you could force me to follow the first option though. The only place I could possibly go without being awkward is to sit next to you." Despite his halfhearted complaints, he did sit next to her anyway. "I'm sorry, I'm coming on way too strong aren't I?"

"I'm not sure I can take much more of this," He mumbled to himself, lifting his face out of the water. He followed her over to the waterfall, trying to stay at least waist deep in the water. She already has me wrapped around her pinky. He thought with just a hint of bitterness. He was surprised to find he didn't mind his situation at all.

"I'm fine," She said, smiling up at him, "Asking Gaia for help lets me do things with less power, if she agrees. Still, I don't think I can stand anymore. You're going to have to carry me back this time." She weakly tried to raise her head and laughed as it fell back down into his arm. "Looks like I won't be doing anything else tonight. You'd better not take advantage of me."

The pillars lowered themselves, their job done, and Caroline sat up. "Thank you, Gaia, for lending me your strength." She said, putting her hand on the ground and smiling. A few seconds later her eyes closed and she started falling over, too tired to even stay upright.

I'm not taking her seriously, I was mostly joking. I think her biggest flaw was doing it when everybody was in crisis mode. It'll probably work better later
