You know, I was going to ask about that. Is gaia like a real god or is that just a name for the earth?

Gaia is not the common conception of her, as a goddess who watches over the earth. The Gaia that Caroline speaks to is the sentience of the earth itself which took on the name Gaia. It's a fine line, but a line nonetheless.

Nyx is special, she came from another universe where Stars can be sentient. Nymphs and Dryads just don't exist in this universe

Alex suppressed a shudder and stepped back towards her. "Of course I will." As he took the ointments, he hesitated. "I'm not really good with these, I'm don't usually use them. I think you put it around the edge of a wound right?" He waited for her response, not wanting to do anything to make her worse.

Phillip lifted himself out of the water and sat on the edge, shaking his head to get the water out of his hair. "I bet there's a hot tub somewhere, you want to go find it?" He held his hand out to her, trying not to look past her face down into her swimsuit. I really need to stop getting into potentially embarrassing situations. I just hope she doesn't look down either.

Alex stirred from his sleep and opened his eyes, immediately feeling the blood on his shirt where Nyx's bandages had bled through. "Nyx?" He asked tentatively, not finding her next to him. He saw her in the bathroom and got up, moving closer. As he got a glimpse at her wounds and felt his heart leap into his throat. He backed away without saying anything, hopping she wouldn't know that he had seen it.
