Phillip stood stunned for a minute, not expecting the kiss. The purple coloring of his eyes was tinged with red, and he walked back to his room in a daze. When he got back, he climbed into the hammock which was his main reason for choosing this room and just stared at the ceiling for a bit. "What a woman," He muttered, putting his hand to his cheek where he could still feel the touch of her lips. He didn't manage to get to sleep for at least another hour.

Caroline got her food and sat down with him, suddenly subdued. "Hey, remember when I told you my parents died in the war?" She asked, not touching what she had ordered. "That wasn't entirely true. My parents are still alive, in that the people who gave birth to me still have heartbeats. I never had any parents in the traditional sense of the word, Alex is the person who raised me. When the call came to round up defects, those two wanted to turn me in, they wasted no time ratting me out. It was Alex who pulled me out of there and brought me here." She slowly started eating, not looking up at him.

Caroline laughed and pulled him closer to her. "If my brother was fighting you for real, you wouldn't have gotten away with just a broken rib. Remember Z? I found out yesterday that my brother beat him to a pulp for some off color comments he made about Nyx, and at the end he was cradling a broken nose. I bet Alex only fought you so he could get your attention." She bounced up and kissed his cheek. "I bet a couple of those sessions with him and he'll already think of you as his little brother."

Phillip lifted himself out of the water, shivering in the suddenly cold air. "Yeah, I'll probably call it a night too. I'd like to get up early tomorrow and go exploring." He dried himself off with the towel he brought, then folded it and hung it around his neck. "You wanna get a coffee in the Cafe tomorrow? Exploring is always more fun with two people."

Aren't we starting classes when morning comes? That's probably when all the action will really start. Right now it's just kinda empty space while we wait for everybody to catch up (Including your character, who STILL hasn't said anything to Luke.)

He didn't pull free from her immediately, he did return it. He just felt like he was taking advantage of his sobstory and didn't want her to embrace him because she felt sorry for him.

"I think he's back in his room, taking care of Nyx. We won't be able to talk to him until he comes back out. He's pretty paranoid about people getting into his room." Caroline looked for her shirt and put it on. As soon as she did, she wanted it off again, she wanted to lay in bed with him forever, just talking with him and kissing him, but she knew she had to get up. Sighing, she pulled her hair out of the shirt collar and leaned against the wall, waiting for him.
