Most of what you hear of Hobgoblin appearance is true, however it is only all true of the battle hardened warriors, scouts and adventures that one might actually encounter in the civilised world. Those that showed no flair for fighting often don't become the axe dragging, stout muscle bound goliath you'll see defending the territory because its not feasible to. Its not surprising then, given that the hobgoblin body has been bred for maximum fighting strength, that people might think that our upper bodies somewhat dwarf our lower bodies. This is simply a coincidence. Hobgoblin's come in all shapes and sizes but those with plenty of spare upper body strength often do well in the military. Another common misconception is hobgoblins can't have a head of hair. All warriors shave their heads, regardless of gender, before battle, largely to intimidate but also to protect them from being gripped by it.
What is certainly true is our long pointed ears, red-orange eyes and dull coloured skin, but this is where the similarities end. As one of the oldest races on in this world there is more variation between Hobgoblins that there is in elves.
Anyone wishing to see a true average Hobgoblin is more than welcome to meet me, I hope you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Special Traits: Wide Hips, Dad loved a curvy woman. Grey Horns curve upwards around the head, one slightly more so than the other.
Attire: See later. On top of the armour Bumble wears a dark black hooded cloak to protect her from the sun during the day and to make her almost invisible at night. To protect her delicate eyes from the sun she wears a pair of large dark blue stained glass spectacles with brass frames, which while not completely nullifying the effect of the sun on her vision take the vast amount of edge off when used in conjunction with the cloak. Her feet are adorned with wooden sandals but are packed away when stealth is key. In addition to all this she is always equipped with a bag with enough room for quills ink and her notebook.

Abilities: Strong knowledge of Dungeon, Goblin and Hobgoblin lore. High Diplomacy Skill.

Collections: Books, lots of them. Being a good scholar isn't just about presenting facts, its about presenting them in a manner that the majority audience will find engaging. Hobgoblin literature doesn't meld well with the public.
Personality
Likes: Bard's stories of danger and adventure and their music, something she never had growing up.
Dislikes: Racism, is tough being one of few Hobgoblin's in the city. Usually isn't a problem but every now and again it is. Magic, Hobgoblin mistrust of arcane arts runs deep. Summer time, the sun is bad enough most of the year round.
Dreams: To be the first famous Hobgoblin that didn't transcend his/her mortality in battle.
Fears: Billow Moths. Can we leave it at that?
Favorite Color: Son'gog, the colour of the clouds that roll of the mountains.
Favorite Food: Enemy Battle Fallen Worg, tastes like victory. Used to be a staple until the unification of the North Clan's under Og'Og, the God of Order.
