The Archivist

Name: ???

Form: A stooped and hooded figure with ink-stained fingers. Eyes gleam from the darkness in a shape and color just beyond perception, the kind that slide from one's mind after one stops looking.



Personality: The Archivist speaks with a soft and crackly voice, not unlike a gentle fire or the turning of pages. They do not have harsh words for anyone or anything, as conflict is not in their nature. They are dedicated to the understanding of the world, and in true understanding of something, how can one help but love it?

Will: Stagnancy. The Archivist is dedicated to preserving all that is, was, and will be. Destruction is antithetical to their pursuit, even that of their most hated enemies. Creation is simply a source of more work, unless it is properly documented ahead of time and as it persists. Of course, most gods care not for such trivialities, and so The Archivist continues their cause until such time as they have control of all the nodes and can begin a proper analysis of everything.

Aspect
Desire is the demigoddess of Desire. Hers is the passion to take, to grow, and to yearn. Desire is active, not passive. Always moving, always seeking.

Use of her aspect can light the fires of passion in even the most forlorn soul, or quench even the most fiery youngster's drive. Entire armies reduced to infighting, countries laid to waste, or channeled more positively into exploration and science. None who feel are free from her grasp.

Though desire is emotionally noisy, Desire wields her power through a lighter touch. A rush of blood here, a glimmer in the eye there. Anything that clouds perception is her preferred method, anything to force beings mortal or immortal alike to act according to their nature instead of their nurture.

Persona
Flighty. Passionate. Unyielding. Desire is a creation of Homura, so named for being the embodiment of positive growth. Those traits she embodies in full, but the unforeseen consequence was a lack of safeguard. Desire didn't just want personal growth, but the entirety of the cosmos.

Her ascent to divinity, though incomplete, has changed little. Her name and personality remain the same. She craves new and varied things, from the exotic to the mundane, changing her mind as often as the breeze. External pressures, however, find her as unyielding as solid stone. Desire acts purely on a form of cost-benefit thinking. She will only ever do activities that gain her something or fulfill a desire, but she knows that sometimes one gets more if one gives a little. Doing so is painful, however, and always a last resort unless the potential gains are sufficently large.

Desire enjoys. This is an absolute, and a cornerstone of her personality. As often as time permits, and perhaps more, she does what she can to wander the lands, sampling experiences and meeting new people.

True Form
Initially, being a mere champion created in Homura's image, she was identical in every physical way. However, as her power grew, so too did her individuality. Outstripping her creator's control, she shed her creator's image as well, electing instead to wear an impossibly tall and painfully thin human guise of some seven feet tall. Midnight-black hair falls to her shoulders instead of red, with unnaturally green eyes. Desire's wardrobe, such as it is, usually consists of dresses designed for looks, not practicality.

Given her lack of full divinity, however, she lacks a truer form and is contained within her mortal frame, however more malleable that may now be.
