So I was world building my world and thought this would be fun.

‘The High Forces’
The High Forces is a catch all term for three Imperial units-The Charons, the Paragons and the Sirens. The High Forces have no official name and do not work with each other. Through all three of these units are elite, the pinnacle of the Ragon war machine.
Let us start with the Charons.
Charons-”Men of Iron”
Based off-The Space Marines from W40k.
Dark Troopers in Star Wars.

Men of Iron is the official name of the Charons the supersoldiers of the Imperial Military. The Charons were created by Illgoth, in a lab full of orphans ranging from one to five years of age to become the backbone of the Imperial Military. But it was found the Charons were too expensive, estimated at fifty billion USD in cost. That was just for one company of Charons. Illgoth instead made them his elite and had all Charons indoctrinated the minute they were found and ‘recruited’. Illgoth was selective, like how Charon recruitment is now a days. Illgoth preferred prodiges to be the leaders of the Charons. To form the lower ranks of the Charons, he choose male babies born of the high class and high middle class, nobles. He believed that this would start the route to the Charons being ‘pure’ and role models for regular Ragon.
In 2027, the first batch of Charons were completed, through mostly thirteen to fifteen year olds, the Charons mostly had the maturity of a full grown male and were bodybuilders of seven feet of height. This batch, which numbered approximately two thousand, was deemed the first Sanctuary. The Sons of Illgoth. The Sons first saw action during the Milirian campaigns and soon were shown to be warriors unmatched in skill. The Sons suffered casualties through, and a second problem arises-The length of time that it took to make new Charons. Not to mention cost. Due to this, Charons are rarely deployed unless needed.
Charon Sanctuaries-Sanctuaries are how Charon’s are organized. A typical Sanctuary is two full regiments strong, run by the oldest Charon, a Watchmaster. Sanctuaries are attached to a system or sub-sector in a sector to guard them and quell uprisers. The system pays for the Charon recruitment and production which is why poorer system have small Charon sanctuaries.
Ranks and structure of a typical Charon sanctuary.
Watchmaster-The oldest Charon of the sanctuary, the Watchmaster oversees the sanctuary. He will rarely appear in person only when called by a high-ranking figure or in a pivotal battle that can lose or win the front or even the war. Watchmasters are often great military strategist and overrule non-Lord Marshals.
Oracle-The Oracle is the leader of the religious practices of the sanctuary. They are trained in all sects of Ragon religion to both provide religious services for his sanctuary or non-Charons. Oracles also act as criminal investigators of the sanctuary, investigating crimes such as murder in the sanctuary ranks.
Hero-The best warrior in the sanctuary, the Hero commands the forces of the sanctuary on the battlefield.
Hero Cult-The followers of the Hero, acting as his honor guard.
Watchleader-Captains of a company in the Santuary.
Watchmen-Regular Charons.
-Knights-Close combat specialist of the Charons, carry a Vibrosword and Type-75k pistol through some carry a shield for extra protection.
-Yeomen-Support weapons specialist. Carry the heavy weapons of the Sanctuary.
Charon battle armor.
Phase Two-Phase Two is the standard powered armor of the Charons. Worn by Watchmen. Phase Two armor cost about twenty four million to produce and more to train a recruit in and maintain.
Linothorax-The Linothorax is the upper armor of the Charon battle armor. In the phase two armor the Linothorax is made up of about 12mm of Titanium to protect the wearer from small arms fire. The Linothorax also hosts the power cell of the armor, the 'heart'. It also provides an energy shield for the wearer capable of protective the user from arm fire long enough to get to cover.
Corinthian- The helmet of the Phase Two. Made up of 5mm of titanium and provides a internal commutation device, respirator for (primarily) space combat and activates the Charons cybernetic enhanced eyes and senses to their fullest potential.
Greaves- The legs and boots of the Phase Two, made up of 10mm of titanium and has stabilizers for zero-gravity combat and other uses.
Organization of a Charon company.
Note-First company gets all the fun stuff. Also notes on ranks and such.
Watchmaster-Leads the sanctuary, which is two regiments in size mostly.
Watchleader-Captain.
Watchmen-Regular old soldiers.
Currently thinking on the platoon leaders and such rank.
Units.

C-23 Medium Assault Vehicle-The main battle tank of the Charons, equipped with a 115mm Gauss Gun with one 12.7mm machine guns and a pintle-mounted 7.5mm machine gun. The C-23 forms the bulk of the Charons armored forces and come in squadrons of five.
-Comparable to-T-55 and T-62 in real life.
C-21 Medium Carrier-The main troop transport of the Charons, armed with a single 7.5mm machine gun. Can carry five squads of Charons
Watchmen platoon-The standard soldier of the Charons, armed with a Type-75K (A 7.5mm Railgun that is the standard issue rifle) with one NCO.
-Comparable to-Leichte Schutzen from Wargame.
Knights-These are the melee combat specialist of the Charons. Equipped with an jump pack, a vibrosword and Type-75k Pistol (Fires 6.5mm Slugs)
Yeomen-The heavy weapons specialist of the Charons. Carry a 12.7mm Type-04K railgun, the Yeomen are meant for suppressive fire and guarding vital areas.
----Yeoman Bolt Squad-The Yeomen Bolt Squad hold the explosive weapons, such as missile launchers, of the Charons.
------Yeoman Execution Squad-The execution squads are Yeomen that carry weapons such as flamethrowers and thermobaric launchers. Only called to clear an area of enemy opposition and burn down enemy buildings.
Surveyor-The Surveyors are the combat engineers of the Charons, come in a squad of three
Pupils-Pupils are students of the Charons that are used to supply light infantry and recon for the Charons.
Oracle-Religious leaders of the Sanctuary.
Hierophant Type I-The Hierophant is a power armor on power armor, armed with two 50mm chainguns and a missile launcher with ten missiles, the Hierophant is only used in the most brutal of assaults. Five Command points.
Titan Class Heavy Assault Vehicle-The Titan is a modular Heavy Tank equipped with two 120mm Gauss Guns, three 35mm autocannons on top and five 12.7mm Heavy Machine Guns for anti-infantry and helicopter duties. Fifteen command points.
------Titan Class Heavy Carrier-A variant of the Titan that can carry two platoons of Charons. Armed with two 45mm autocannons and firing ports. Twelve Command points.
Dominus-The veterans of the Sanctuary, granted Phase Three powered armor and a Type-07k Stormgun, a railgun capable of fire comparable to a M249 and fires 5.5mm slugs.
-------Dominus Assault Squad-Veterans in Phase Three armor that specialize in close quarter combat. Armed with various melee weapons and a shield

Also, company sizes vary.

My ideas is that we play as company leaders, through if you have an idea please share

"The Spinward Front is an Imperial warzone encompassing dozens of star systems that have been consumed by conflict between diametrically opposed human and xenos factions. It is centred on a sub-sector of the Calixis Sector in the Segmentum Obscurus called the Periphery. The bulk of the Spinward Front warzone is “off the map” in unexplored regions of the Calixis Sector. It encompasses a region that lies directly in the path of a massive Ork invasion, a region also plagued by traitorous secession and other alien and Chaos incursions. The battlefields of the Spinward Front are many and varied, and offer as many opportunities for glory as they do ways to die. Only the strongest will rise to take command of the Emperor’s armies in such a place, the weak falling prey to Orks, rebels, Dark Eldar, or even the dread forces of the Ruinous Powers."

Welcome Captain to the 45th Fleet of the Imperial Navy. You have been tasked with operations on the Spinward front to quell the rebels, known as the Severan Dominate and thus with the rest of the 45th have gone through the warp to mass at Halmen Reach to begin a crucial Imperial offensive to take over then Tenax sub-sector currently controlled by Dominate forces.

Of course, you also have land forces, You will also control these regiments to keep things from getting stale.

Vessels of the Imperial Navy in the Spinward Front.
Battleships-Unplayable.
Battleships are huge vessels, with colossal amounts of weapons and shields, and usually serve as the flagship for the Admiral of the Fleet, though this is not always necessarily the case. Although very powerful, battleships are very slow to manoeuvre and cannot react quickly to enemies that rapidly change course. Imperial battleships can have crews of anywhere between 25,000 to 3,000,000 or more depending on sources, including large numbers of Imperial Navy armsmen to defend against enemy boarding assaults. Battleships can be up to 8 kilometres from prow to stern and displace billions of tons. Because they represent such a vast expenditure of resources and require a fairly advanced technical base, these are typically constructed only in the largest shipyards above the major Adeptus Mechanicus Forge Worlds. These vessels are precious assets and are carefully husbanded, usually employed in only larger fleet formations.
There are various classes of Imperial Battleship, but the Emperor and more recent Retribution are by far the most common in the Imperial Navy.

Cruisers-Playable.
Cruisers are the ship-of-the-line of the Imperial Navy meaning they are the backbone of the Imperial Navy. Most of us will use Cruisers.
-Battle Cruisers
--Battlecruisers are based on a hull-design that is similar to the regular Cruisers, though Battle Cruisers are generally somewhat larger and more heavily armed, incorporating more advanced power distribution systems capable of supporting battleship-grade weaponry in a cruiser hull.
---Classes.
----Armageddon-Class, a modified Lunar Cruiser hull and is the most common of the Battlecruisers along with the Overlord-Class.
----Mars-Class, The Mars-Class is a fleet carrier and long range patrol ship. It excels at neither through.
----Overlord-Class-The most common battlecruiser next to the Armageddon.

Cruisers-The standard ships of the Imperial Navy.
-Classes.
--The Dictator class cruiser is a rebuilt Lunar Class Cruiser, with the lance decks rebuilt into flight decks for attack craft. The Dictator retains the Lunar's weapons batteries and torpedo capabilities, as well as the armoured prow. The shield, turret, and engines also remain unchanged.
---The Dominator-class was originally designed as a long range support vessel, using its massive Nova Cannon from behind fleet battle lines. In this function, however, it never really excelled and only gained a handful of victories to its name. It was never truly appreciated by its crew(s) until the start of the Gothic War. In a particular battle, a single Dominator, the Hammer of Justice, found itself between two Chaos cruisers. The Dominator's true role was found that day when the Hammer of Justice gave both of its rivals a full broadside assault, crippling them in a matter of seconds.

---The Gothic Class Cruiser is a common sight amongst the battlefleets of the Imperium, second only to the Lunar Class Cruiser. Its usage is similar to that of the Apocalypse Class Battleship in that it is designed to use its lances to directly damage a ship, rather than to cut through shields. Due to this, it is often paired with a Lunar Class or Dominator Class Cruiser. The second cruiser blasts down the shields, leaving the hull unguarded against the Gothic's lance decks. However, if caught alone, without support, the Gothic is more vulnerable than any of the other cruisers in the Imperial Navy. This is because, whilst lances are devastatingly powerful, they are also slow, and a lone Gothic cannot deal the damage fast enough to force an attacker to withdraw.

---The Lunar Class Cruiser is the mainstay of the Imperial Navy. It is a good all-around ship, having reasonable lance and weapon battery armament, and a fair torpedo capability. This versatility is the factor that has won the ship its position as the Imperial warship of choice. Whilst the Lunar doesn't have the range of larger ships, it can hold its own at medium to short ranges. It also possesses enough shielding and armour to enable it to get to the range of its weapons relatively unscathed.
Usually cruisers operate in pairs, and the Lunar is no exception, as it allows twice the firepower to be brought against the enemy, whilst forcing them to halve their reply. The standard tactic with the Lunar class is to fire the torpedoes whilst closing with the enemy. This will cause some disruption as the enemy attempts to manoeuvre away from the torpedoes. This disruption will hamper attempts to fire upon the pair of cruisers, and they will get within range, and turn their broadsides to face the enemy. From here, they will fire volley after volley into the enemy while circling at full speed.

---The Tyrant class cruiser. In the 39th Millennium the Tyrant class was popular, due to its superior range over other cruiser classes. It was theorised that the Tyrant would be able to deliver both long range fire, and short range fire, of the same power. However, it soon was realised that the long range fire was not much of a threat to anything bigger than an escort, and the class fell out of favour.
The Tyrant is as well protected as any Imperial cruiser, with reasonable shield and turret protection, as well as the classic armoured prow. It has no lances, but both long and shorter range weapons batterys. It also boasts enough torpedoes to cripple a cruiser if a full strength volley were to hit.

Dominate Ships.

Chalice-Class Battlecruiser-A experimental battlecruiser, the Chalice was all but abandoned by the Imperial Navy and was being scrapped. The Dominate managed to capture the survivors through, ten Chalices at the Raid at Cetrax. Two of the Chalices are now under the command of the elite 78th “Hounds” Fleet which is defending the Homax System from the 3rd Imperial Fleet. The Dominate is currently looking to produce the Chalice.

Overlord-Class Battle Cruiser-The Overlord is a rare sight in Dominate hands with only a few hundred in Dominate service. Production is also slow as only a two forge worlds are capable of producing the Overlord.

Lunar-Class Cruiser-The Lunar Class Cruiser makes the bulk of the Dominate fleet. There is estimated to be at least four thousand Lunar-Class cruisers in Dominate service. The Lunar is produced by Dominate held forge worlds capable of it, so about twenty worlds are producing Lunar’s.

Defender-Class Light Cruiser-The Defender is the most common warship in Dominate service with seven thousand estimated to be Dominate service the Defender is produced by Dominate held forge worlds at a reasonable rate.

Claymore-Class Corvette.

Sword-Class Frigate.

Firestorm-Class Frigate.

Cobra-Class Destroyer.

Viper-Class Destroyer.

Q-Ships-Used to protect supply convoys.

Armed Freighter-Used by supply convoys.

The Severan Dominate Trooper.
-The trooper is the backbone of the Severan armed forces. Mostly deserters and defectors of the Imperial military the Trooper is a well trained foe that can hold his own against his Imperial Guard counterparts. The Dominate Trooper wears lighter armor than the Imperial Guardsmen and wields a Galaxy pattern lasgun.

Dominate Stormtrooper
-The Dominate Stormtrooper forms the special forces of the Dominate armed forces. While few are former Tempetus Scion the Dominate Stormtrooper is still a dangerous foe armed with the deadly Ryza Pattern Hellgun.

Tentrax Main Battle Tank
-The Tentrax Main Battle Tank forms the bulk of the Dominate armored corps due to Leman Russ’s coming in short supply as the Spinward front grows more and more costly. The Tentrax is inferior to the Leman Russ, armed with a 115mm Battle Cannon and having lighter armor.

Leman Russ.
-The Leman Russ and it’s variants form the elite tank units of the Dominate.

Dominate equipment.
Disposable Launcher-The Disposable Launcher is a 95mm Missile Launcher that fires Rocket-Propelled Frag and Krak missiles. It only has one shot and is not very effective against Imperial tanks so it is used by Dominate troopers as a grenadier weapon.

Achillan Mk III "Tread Fether" Missile Tube-The Achillan Mk III is a lightweight 105mm missile launcher favored by Dominate troopers as their main man-portable AT weapon..

Galaxy-Pattern Lasgun-Standard issue rifle.

Godwyn Pattern Heavy Bolter-Standard HMG.

Othlack Pattern Heavy Stubber-Standard GPMG.

Rules-No godmodding.
Since battleships would be OP and I want to keep them as NPC’s, you cannot have a battleship.
Yes your ship can be destroyed and your character killed.
Have fun.

Shit...um....sorry if I destroyed your interest.I wasn't picking Ollum over you and was hoping you two had worked something over or will.

Aristo-Simple.

The Ragon see the Gaian's as another race to enslave and the Emperor told them too.

I might be a pilot. Still need more information on the ship I would be flying. And what that character does after that ship drops everyone off. Does he just fly around? Air support? Does he get out and shoot?

A stealth gunship armed with laser cannons and a whole lot of other stuff.

Ever watch Star Wars Clone Wars (2003)? If you watch the Hypori episode, chapter 20 I think, that's what you basically do. I'm may change that or not have the pilot be a required position.
Aristo said
So the Gaia are basically low-tech humans, but there's no info about the Ragon race, or the events leading to the war. I'd like to know more about those and the background in general.

Okay.

The Ragon are a red-skinned humanoid warrior race. They are very Imperialistic, which is why the war happened as before this the Gaian's only alien race they met was an extinct one and the races ruins. The Ragon are lead by a dynasty of emperors and empresses named the Goths (Ragon names are combined, so Ill=First name Goth=Last to form Illgoth) who have ruled the empire since it's founding by Illgoth in 2024. The Ragon have slaves and are the largest empire in the galaxy.

Anything else?
Notice-The main goal of this thread is to form a team to mod games, the hopeful ending is that we start making full blown games.

Okay, I love video games and decided, why not to form a modding team? So here I am, typing away as I explain this to you guys.

Basically we will mod games, and hopefully they get popular (And may make games after that). I already have a setting, my Sci-fi universe the Gaiaverse.

This will focus on the Gaian-Ragon war, a war between the humans of the settings, Gaians and the superpower of the galaxy at the time, the Ragon Empire. The Ragon are a warrior culture, I will go into more detail about them if this gets far enough. The war will end in a bloody stalemate.

Here is the thing we can mod about.

A mod focused on the first three years of the War (2230-2232) were the Gaians are fighting for survival and cannot beat the Ragon, slowly losing the war.

A mod focused on the Specters after the Battle of Koen (Before they were just an experimental unit of four guys this was in 2234) the Specters working for the Office of Intelligence and doing covert and combat ops. They are supersoldiers too.

I am open to any other ideas.

Note-I am a writer, but can learn to help with the programming and such. But right now I am the writer and supervisor of the stories.

I am interested. for second in command. If at all possible could i pm you about a few questions I have?

Sure.
I said to myself "Will people play only to see their characters die?".

I decided that the ending could be good if most of the characters died and make a discussion to help build on the Imperial Commandos.

I know your not trying to be a jerk, trust me I have had worse responses to stuff.

I remember the last time you posted this, and it sounds like you have the same key story points decided on and you're just not saying as much about it this time. Why not leave that stuff up to the RP? It sounds almost more like you should be writing this as a story instead of playing it as an RP if you already know what you want to happen.

The thing is....I only have the ending sorta of planned and Fort Mckenney is the only real planned out plot points.

Everything use, well the player can decide.
Note-The end of this RP will see the death of most of the player characters. Not going into detail on how.
Hello there everyone I’m Cpkeyes with an idea for a Sci-fi RP. This RP will focus on a war known as the Gaian-Ragon war with us playing as the elite special forces of the Ragon. The Imperial Commandos. The Imperial Commandos are the 2nd level of Juskar (Special) the 1st level being the Grenadiers and the 3rd level being the Kill-Teams (Who work for Imperial Intelligence). We will play as a team of Imperial Commandos during the war with the Gaians (Humans basically) from war start to the end of our story.
Our enemies-The Gaians are your average human race, through primitive in technology the Gaians are ferocious fighters. In the starting date of the RP (August 2nd 2230) the Gaian’s are fighting a losing war against the Ragon.
The starting setting-The first setting is the Battle of Mazi, the battle that proved to the Ragon that this war would not be an easy one. We are starting on the second week of the battle, with the Ragon offensive put on an halt by a heavily fortified and armed fort-Fort Mckenney. The first part of the RP will be taking place in this battle, specially taking out Fort Mckenney.
Traditions of the Imperial Commando’s.
Dragon Eyes-This is given to Commando’s who have performed beyond their call of duty. You will have to do a very brave act to get this.
Aaian-The Aaian is a half-skirt type thing supposedly worn by the Ragon warriors of old. It’s kind of like the Kama from star wars.
Four fire salute-A fire salute used during a funeral of a commando.
Prayer-Like most Imperial Units, the Commandos use their free time to pray to the savior of the Ragon-Illgoth.
Roles.
Commander-Me.
Second-in-command.
Gunner-You carry the heavy weapons such as a 85mm Rocket Launcher.
Pilot-You are in control of the gunship that transports the team.
Medic.
Riflemen.
Roles of the Imperial Commandos.
Raids on enemy camps.

Capturing enemy leaders.

Rescue operations for important personnel.

Destruction of enemy defenses (In battle, otherwise Saboteurs would do this).

Infiltration.

Recon behind enemy lines.

Supporting Imperial Ground Forces assaults.

Boarding of enemy vessels.
Training.
Hand-to-hand combat (Melee and unarmed)
Language (During the first few days of the war none of us will known enough Latia to convince the Gaian’s.)

Marksmanship.
Survival.
Grabbling and rappelling.
Wargames with other teams.

If needed, we will discuss things about the Imperial Commandos and whatever else is relevant.
