Where do ya think you're goin', get back up there. Silly thread.
I find the Dragon x Maiden Sacrifice pairing to be quite interesting, if you'd be up for it.
Hi.
So, I have some odd pairings to put on the table. I'm only accepting one person for each of them currently, so slots are limited. I'm hoping you find this list of unorthodox pairings as interesting.
I have a few simple requirements to set.

~

> Grammar. Make it decent. Don't use text speak in IC posts, it only makes you look stupid. And don't do the whole L337 thing, either. You can do whatever you want in the OOC, though, I don't care what you say when it comes to that.
> Post length. Two to three paragraphs, at least. No one-liners or half-assed one paragraph posts.
> Activity. I have a life. I have classes, I have personal events, I have social events, I have friends, unbelievably. Do not, I repeat not badger me about activity. I swear to God, I will drop a roleplay if I'm being pestered about posting fifty responses a day. I might post a couple one day and go silent for a week - it's very erratic. If you can respect that and be patient, then I sure as hell will respect you and be patient. It's the least I could do.
> Genders. I play both male and female. I might have preferences for certain ideas, I might not. Go with it. Don't try to convince me to do MxM or FxF.
> Mature themes. I do blood. I do violence. I do gore, I do swearing. I don't do sex. I'll fade to black if necessary. Respect my boundaries, please.

~

There. Done.
If you're still here, I have the ideas down below. I've made them as clear as I can.
Any pairing position with a *** means that that is my preferred position. Any without a *** means that I don't care which position I play.

Title - Pest
Genre - Fantasy / Modern
Pairing - Human [M] x ***Harpy [F]
Relationship - Platonic
Status - Open
Brief Main Plot - Two types of harpies reside in the world - the 'predator' harpies, and the 'pest' harpies. The predator harpies are human-sized, significantly stronger than normal humans, and quite dangerous, seeing as they are called 'predator'. The pest harpies are usually about the size of a bird, very small, and are generally just annoying to humans more than anything. Some can be beneficial, depending on their intelligence and intentions, but most are simple-minded and selfish, just like any other bird. A male human manages to capture one of these 'pest' harpies that flew - or more like crash-landed - inside his home, only to find that this harpy isn't quite as stupid as he was expecting. Surprisingly to him, she's actually a very intelligent harpy, and this intrigues him. It turns out that the harpy has a broken wing, and cannot properly fly, which is the sole reason why she was forced to land and landed in his residence.
Notes - As you can see, this would obviously be platonic, and the plot is open-ended. It is open to be edited to my and my partners' liking past the point this plot explanation ends. The predator harpies explained in the plot are not going to be playable in the roleplay - I just felt it was necessary to add balance to the harpy species in general. This world will be a modern world, where pest harpies can thrive in both natural areas and human societies and predator harpies only reside in natural areas untouched by humans.

Title - Explore With Me
Genre - Fantasy
Pairing - Human [F] x ***Harpy [M]
Relationship - Romantic/Platonic {Your choice}
Status - Closed
Brief Main Plot - A female human is sick of her life at home. She feels an intense yearning to go on adventures and seek out strange new places and things. One day, she simply can't bear the urge any longer, and packs herself up to sneak out during the night into the wilderness. As she walks and explores nature, she is spotted by a curious male harpy who just chances upon her during his own traveling. Instead of coming to greet her, he stays out of sight for a while and examines her from afar, until his own curiosity piques and he can't resist speaking. She notices him when he starts to speak, and obviously is afraid at first, since harpies are regarded in her culture as grotesque monsters to be feared - but she is in for the surprise of her life to find this harpy to be nothing more than curious and playful, without harmful intentions. He has her reveal her intentions in the wilderness, and decides to accompany her in her travels, whether she likes it or not.
Notes - This will be set in a more medieval world, where nature is still quite abundant and technology is nonexistent, only old-fashioned weaponry and ways of living. This plot doesn't pertain to the world of the second plot - it's set in an entirely different universe, just for clarification. The plot is subject to be changed and edited to how me and my partner desires it to be after the point the plot explanation above ends.

Title - Caught Red-Handed
Genre - Fantasy
Pairing - Giant [M] x Human [F]
Relationship - Platonic
Status - Open
Brief Main Plot - A female, human scavenger whom has an excellent amount of skill in keeping undetected and sneaky has been living wild in the woods for most of her life. The downfall of humanity came when savage giants attacked, and obliterated many of the population of humans. Only few giants and humans alike remain in the present time, and this scavenger is one of them, visiting abandoned towns and picking off fresh or good supplies whenever she can. Though normally, giants are strong, primitive, and very savage, there are few who retain intelligence and humanity in them, which are the few giants who survived the retaliations humankind had set onto them. The scavenger finds a male giant traveling through a forest, and decides to hitch a ride from him instead of travel on foot and tire herself out. She was under the impression that the giant was too unobservant to notice her catching a ride - but she was quite wrong. A single wrong move is made, and in a second, the giant has her trapped in his grasp. Though she finds him to be . . . different from normal giants, when he brings her forward to observe her. She finds him to have the same intelligence as a human, in fact, and he seems more curious than angered at managing to find her. A confrontation is held, where he asks her many questions about who she is and learn more about her reasons for being out in the wilderness on her own, rather than immediately deciding to just straight-out kill her.
Notes - This is a bit more of a stranger one that I've been curious about doing for a while now. Another more medieval society - I don't think any other time period would work for it. It'd be platonic, because anything past that'd be awkward. The plot is very open-ended - I don't have a lot of ideas planned for what could happen after the explanation, so it's very changeable.

Title - Escaping Bloodshed
Genre - Fantasy
Pairing - Dragon [M] x ***Dragon [F]
Relationship - Platonic/Romantic {Your choice}
Status - Open
Brief Main Plot - Dragons are exotic creatures, creatures that mages, whom are always looking to increase their magical abilities and power, would do anything to capture. These glorious creatures have been hunted to near extinction - only few remain in the world. These very few are gifted with abilities, some beyond the mortal spectrum, some of the elements of physical nature, some of other unimaginable, unique proportions. These creatures are constantly sought out for these powers, and though they run, they can fight just as well, and many who go out to hunt them never return. A male dragon, while being chased by hunters, chances upon a female dragon who is also being chased, out of pure coincidence. The two, in a mutual understanding of each other's situations, battle it out with the hunters and defeat both groups while working together. After this event, the dragons face each other and meet. In a series of questions, curiosities, and decisions, they decide to accompany each other on their paths to stay alive.
Notes - This would be set in a medieval, yet higher fantasy world where magic is available to humans to create mages. Each dragon will be unique and have their own awesome abilities and powers. It'll be a survival type of plot that we're going for, but it's changeable to our liking. Adventure is out there, and I'd be more than glad to hear any ideas for events you might want for this. I'm very excited to try this one.

That's it.
If you like one, tell me the title down below and I'll PM you ASAP - it might not be right away, so be patient.
Oh, and also - don't whine if I reject your offer. I only reject offers when someone has already taken the idea, so be cool about it.
Okay?

Okay.

Wordless beckons, silent pleas, are so difficult for us to notice.
We may not have the perspectives or the senses to notice when there is a person in need - whether it be in need of help, or simply in need of a friend.
Some are left unnoticed and neglected by society, without a person to take consolation in, or share their happiness and beauty with.
Others . . . others are abused and hurt, left to be guarded and careful around all, without a person to trust, or to share their own happiness and beauty with.
What will come of two victims of these categories finding something in one another?
What could come of two people who see deeper? Who see the cries and needs of one another?
What could it lead to?

A young man without a voice lives his life in loneliness. Without a way to truly speak for himself, he is left on the sidelines, a silent treasure of goodness and joy locked by an unforgiving, cruel twist of fate that took his words away from him.
A young woman with a bloodied and beaten heart is closed to all, remaining behind thick walls of distrust. Bruises and scars are left on her almost daily, and without a way to fight back, she has shrunken from a young woman of great potential to a wary, locked away girl.
When these two meet, something forms between them that cannot truly be explained. A sense of consolation in one another, perhaps? Or something larger? Something brewing underneath all of the timid greetings and quiet conversations?
Will their friendship crash and burn? Or will it raise them higher, to who they can each truly be?

The Form

No matter for how long of a time she soared, the sights never dropped in their glory. Her eyes were glowing in the darkness. They darted to the side as she released a high croon of pleasure and dove, the air whistling past, the ground seeming to move upwards rather than have her move towards it. Her wings flared, and she shot back up again, back towards the stars and closer to the beauty again. She pulled in her starry appendages and spun, maneuvering herself in complicated patterns in the sky, dancing for her goddess, for her ancestors, and for her own enjoyment.
Despite all of the excitement, and all of the vigor of the night, there was an odd . . . emptiness that resided somewhere in her heart, a void of sorts that frustrated a part of her. It was unaffected by the mood now enveloping her. Why? No matter what she did, no matter which way she flew, no matter what angle she gazed towards the glimmering heavens, she couldn't fill this one spot of coldness. Unfortunately, it was familiar once she recognized it, and she couldn't help but feel her carefree mood drop a note. It was still there. There had to be a way to fill it.

There had to be someone out there to make it whole.

When this thought came, she fell into silence, her crooning calls ceasing. Suddenly, the situation had turned from a lovely nightly fly to a silent, hopeless search. Loneliness washed over her all over again, quite unexpectedly. Even as the spirits soared at her sides and carried her forward, she couldn't help but feel this empty spot pang at her heart. Her wings, which were steady in a glide, now beat up and down, up and down, allowing her to gather speed. The forests were a blur far beneath her, yet the stars . . . they remained steady, still. It was a fascinating contrast. She knew there were probably living things crawling about within the trees and patches of land that occasionally and briefly interrupted the sea of green. Many most likely had mates and even small families of their own.

The mood changed too quickly for Lumen's liking.

Silence, along with the ambient whistling of winds underneath her wings and at her sides, reigned once more. Though peaceful, the loneliness was like a weight attached to her tail, like her mind was trudging through mud. It was detaching; it sent her soul adrift from her body in a way not at all good, yet not quite horrible, either. Thoughts. Hopes, Wonders. A feeling that could never be explained through words. She remained like this for a long time, with the grand pearl of the skies drifting across calmly, sluggishly, towards it's destination on the next horizon
All the while, she would dip back into her senses and check around. She took in the sights, the scents, and the sounds warily. Even if no human could keep pace with her own speed in the air, and even if a human could never have the aim or the patience to injure her at the altitude she flew, she was still, still careful. Natural instinct? A burden of sensitivity from a wretched past? She thought, knew, in fact, that it was both. She took in air through her nose and released it in a note of her downtrodden mood.

. . . Wait.

Lumen blinked. She took in air through her nose again, pulling up and slowing herself until she was simply hovering, wings beating strong to keep her in the air.
There was something else that she caught.
It wasn't . . . natural. As in, it wasn't something you could capture from normal surroundings. This was a scent that stood out. There was a slight breeze as she hovered still, and it carried a scent that confused her mind, her instincts, and her heart.
It was a brisk smell. It was an alluring smell. It was a draconian smell. She had captured scents like this before, long, long ago, when her kind was still in the reaches of the world. It was a scent that made her body tingle with instinctual excitement. But as her body shivered, her mind attempted to repress it. This can't be true, a voice whispered in a disbelieving uncertainty, the winds are deceiving you, Lumen, this cannot possibly be the scent of another living dragon. Her senses rose, and screamed at her to follow it, for it was fading with the shift of the breeze, but her mind was scolding her for believing such natural trickery.

Her hope, though, was what leaped into the fray and won.

Her hopes risen only half-heartedly, in case this truly was a form of derision by the earth, caused her to snap back to attention with her senses. She huffed, her wings doing a beat forward to move, turning from one side to the other in shifting paths as she sought out the very faint trail of the mysterious smell. Even if it was nothing, her curiosity was now pressing for her to find out, and to rest this curious case. She needed to find and confirm to have her thoughts be put to rest.
I'd be interested in a Zombie Apocalypse 1x1. Or 'Cozy Catastrophe' looks interesting, I could use some more info on that, since it also seems to have potential. Whichever you'd prefer.
I'll be posting as soon as school is over and I have a computer again.

Sounds like there's a lot of unique potential for characters and their paths.
You've caught my interest.
I'm probably going to go with The Heart position, or try out for it, at least. Emotional characters are a good thing for me.
And I don't think I'm going to find a picture that fits my character. I'll probably just use a written description.
The Detentionees looks like it could be a whole lot of unique fun.
