The corruption does not seem to be affected by his attempts at healing. As whatever Blood did to help him wears off, his eyes shoot open and he lets out a scream, beginning to thrash around again. He is soon restrained by some magical bindings as a random woman stands beside Michael. "For his and other's safety..."

It's spreading through his veins, by the look of it, and seems to act as if alive, seeming to pulse and move, though very slowly.
