I think they made the rules a bit more complex, but largely it stayed the same. There was alot of good fluff.

Half-Life: Borealis

The idea is simple, take the plot undoubtedly going to be used for the never going to be made Half-Life 3, and make it into an RP. You will be playing a group of Resistance members tasked with reaching the Borealis, wresting it from the Combine, and if possible using it's cargo to help end the war

A brief summary of the story since Half-Life 2: Episode 2

When White Forest successfully launched the rocket and closed the superportal, everyone in the Resistance thought they were one step closer to a possible eventual final victory against the Combine. Unfortunately so too did the Combine, and they responded as such, City 17 and the surrounding area was locked down, bringing in reinforcements from around the globe to keep the city contained and squash any Resistance elements within. Of course this meant the plan to find the Borealis, and keep it out of Combine hands would fail unless something was done quickly.

The decision was made to put everything they had into getting a team out of the city to hopefully get to the Borealis, and secure it before the Combine can use whatever Aperture had on the ship. The plan was drawn up quickly, they'd send a massive force led by Gordon Freeman so the Combine would believe it's importance to attack Combine locations on the southern end of City 17 this would draw forces from across the area to them to reinforce. Meanwhile a small but well equipped team would slip out of the city to the north. Once they got out it'd be up to them to reach the Borealis using the coordinates provided by Dr. Mossman by whatever means they could, eliminate any Combine element, and secure the ship's cargo.

I am hoping to make this either Advanced or High Casual.

So there it is in a nutshell, any interest?

Time to start working on my 'In Case holobunny never posts.' post. It's gonna be awesome, there'll be dragons, and reindeer, and watermelons, and ketchup!!! Or possibly none of those things, it's a toss-up really, I assume the PCMC, like any good secret organization has a reindeer stable?

I am Eastern, but it has no bearing on when I can post whatsoever. There is no predicting when I will be able to and when I won't.

Corporal Lance said Cunfuzzler, I'll be honest and shameful and say that I'm not privy to the Hellboy comics. I'm an impure heathen and got my comparisons from the movies (both the two live action and two animated ones... at least two to my knowledge). And I get the drinking thing, Hell, everyone was an alcoholic out in Okinawa because that was the best thing to do on the weekends (can't be in town past midnight, can't drink out in town, bunch of young 20-somethings crammed into one building, is anyone really surprised?). Pretty sure I was one of the worst offenders, not the craziest or loudest drunk, but definitely the most frequent one. I could count on one finger how many days a week I wasn't walking around with some Captain Morgan or a Corona after work.

Honestly, I had no clue of the comics existence until I watched the live action Hellboy movies, and even then didn't read a Hellboy comic for years. That said, if you liked the movies, I'd recommend checking them out.

The Hellboy comic that split off and has become way better than Hellboy IMO(They still share the same universe). It follows the agents of the BPRD(Abe Sapien, Liz Sherman, Carla Giarocco, etcetera) as they save the world. Currently they're on the fourth of a five part very important arc, and the wait for the fifth book is killing me!

I should probably mention that for me, that can be any day, if my friends decide that they want to see if I wanna go get wrecked, I am terrible at saying no... Oh god that makes me sound like a whore, but I can't think of another way to phrase it, just know I don't mean it that way. Anyways I digress, I may occasionally have posts delayed by a day because I need time to recover.
