In Is RPGuild dying? 9 yrs ago Forum: News
I been here for a little while now and was part of the old guild before it went kaput. I don't see things as all doom and gloom, this place is on the decline, etc etc. HOWEVER the one thing I will say is that there does need to be better/more consistent communication about things that need to be worked on, what is/is not possible, and the like.

I totally get that Mahz is a busy bee, and am very thankfully he is keeping this place up and running as a place for people to come to talk and roleplay. However I also kind of wish he could partner with someone that he can trust that can serve as an ambassador or something to things that are being worked on, changes that are being implemented, etc. Someone that can more regularly keep the members of RPGuild informed and not give off the feeling that while this place has not been abandoned per se, but that there is at least someone (one or more) that are dedicated to working on the issues that need fixing, updates, etc.
Just to add to this, when I post something in a PM, I get the blank page as well. When I reload the page, it double posts the PM I was sending to the other person. So yeah some kind of crazy bug I suppose?
You could have the people doing the roleplaying, but then you would have to put it into a script form, perhaps have a narrator for scene changes and to help describe some of the action. But you would need voice actors with decent mics (the ones that you use to play WoW or for skype are not good enough, sorry), sound effects, background music, mixing equipment, etc.

I have done and mixed audio productions before in the past as well as fandubs, demo reels, etc. Same with the voice acting thing. I still do it on a rare occasion. Your best bet would be to let the roleplayers handle the writing/roleplaying and if they have an interest in acting their character (assuming it fits) or another one, give them a chance if they are a good fit. Otherwise I might suggest going somewhere like the Voice Acting Alliance forum which has a lot of people that do this for a hobby and they have tutorials and the like to help you out.

I guess I can be a source as well since I been doing it on and off now for 15 years. Yes, that long. Just seems like yesterday too....

*departs for a trip down memory lane*
It does not look like this one has been listed unless I completely missed it, but being able to view ALL of a members posts rather than just the last 8 or whatever the number is. If I get someone interested in an idea that I post about and want to go back and browse their previous writings to get a feel if we might be a good match or not, really can't do that if their last 8 posts all happened to be non-RP related.
