Background: When she was a teenager, she lived with her parents in the middle ring in a small apartment in the city. Her mother was a Type A Valtavian, while her father was a human. At age 14, her parents were brutally murdered by humans, who were members of a gang against interspecies relationships and feared Valtavians as a whole. As they were murdered in their apartment, and Esfir was alone, she spent most of her teenage years seeking refuge in the outer ring, where living expenses were cheap, but dangerous. During her two years in the outer ring, she learned to take care of and protect herself. One day, she met Jaeger, who was 27 years old at the time. He had been stationed in the police force in the outer ring. Once they began to know each other, Esfir had opened up about her parents death, and the struggle to survive her situation. Jaeger’s family was extremely wealthy, and he had offered her to live with him in the center of the city. Inspired by Jaeger’s intent to protect the city’s citizens, she later went on to train for the police force until the age of 20, and joined Jaeger’s team once they were transferred to Faction 2, since she was one of the best in during training, when the former Faction 2 team was terminated. The benefits of joining the police included a penthouse near the top of a tall skyscraper overlooking the city. After settling in, she had met Jo, where she had a sexual relationship with for one year before becoming romantically interested in her. Soon, they had started dating and now live together in Esfir’s penthouse.
