I have come to another conclusion: If someone survives the first lot of stabbings, stab them again because you really don't need a witness to your attempted murder.

Alfrasia is based off of Victorian England, except less religious. Tech wise, we're talking heavier-than-air flight, mechs and steamtanks. I'll imagine they get to the New World by traveling west rather than east.

Ireans/Marecam/Nahret all speak one tounge, and traders probably speak more because, well traders. The rest won't I don't think. Green to denote Irean, Normal to denote another language.
