For the last time Darkwolf, no inter-universal travel.Stop trying to get it.

Then stop introducing ways to get it? Might be an idea...

Look duck, it would be hilariously out of character to stop trying to steal the Imperial drives (Honestly its probably pretty out of character for most nations) considering they are living in a universe which has quite literally collapsed around them. Its like living next to an unexploded bomb. What do you do? You move, right? You don't stay living next to the bomb.
So, now pretend there is no way to move because you lack a car or something. Then a million cars show up on your door step. Don't you try to get the car?
Transmission to the Imperial Forces

"We have been fighting off threats for so long. It is by our actions alone an ancient threat from another universe was saw off from even this little fragment. But this universe is dying, darkness has fallen across it and with more and more threats arriving, this universes story is coming to a sharp end. Allow us to strike an accord, we are the most dangerous threat to your expansion in this universe, you would waste many ships trying to depose us and would gain very little. You would merely be wasting your lives and resources.
However, if you simply share the technology required for universal travel, then we will join you and become a protectorate of your Empire, adding even more majesty to the Imperial throne, or we will simply go our own way and leave you to do what you please with this universe. The choice is yours."

Collective Flagship, Deep Space

"Stand by for orders, get the fleet into formation and prepare for jump."
"Understood"
"Request High Command send Onus to NP, allied individuals in need of transfer, location will be determined shortly, after communications with the Equestrians. Prepare to interceed the Imperial Forces in Equiis if we do not receive conflicting orders."
"Praelatus Meus, scans report Tear #2552 has closed, your home system is safe." An Officer reported, and a small smile flashed over the fleet masters face
"Thank you, Officer, that news puts my emotions to rest"
"Of Course, My Commander. Alert, receiving word from High Command... They are attempting to bargain with the Imperials, they intend to double cross them once they receive the technology and send target seeking explosives through into the Imperial Home Universe. They expect this will deter any and all future invasions of this universe."
"Excellent, with some luck this will be the last universal invasion we are thrust into in a long while, the galactic community requires a strong basis, which is of course difficult with exogens invading at every chance."

I think we should plan for it to be this way for the foreseeable future and not put the RP on hold on the idea that DM will be back soon. I think for the time being, we should put all decisions that would normally be decided by the GM to be instead put down to a vote. DM is a mature and understanding individual, and would understand our decision to do something like this given the exceptional circumstances. Seriously, guys. Less waiting, more posting. No excuses ;)

Hear hear, better than letting it die, yeah?
Still better to get the heck out before evils go down xD
Collective Flagship, Deep Space

"Imperial flagship destroyed. Nova prospekt reports two percent ship recovery." The officer reported, the Fleet Master screeched, before yelling out
"Stupid four legged beasts!" He spat, then watched the view screens "All personnel, gone, all intelligence, gone, all technology, gone! Have these primitive fools never heard of adaptation? Maybe they should try it when they gain hands!"
"Praelatus meus, the charging Chaos attack shall likely effect all parties in system."
"Good, may they burn in a thousand hells."
"Equestrian personnel aboard the ship may be important to Equestrian state interests. In regards to their already... Volatile and primitive nature, removing some of their key personnel is unlikely to fix this. Advise demanding Equestrian flagship withdrawal. The other ships are irrelevant." The Fleet Master sighed, pressing the transmit button

Message to the Equestrian flagship
"As you just ruined our best chance of defending the universe, I suggest you engage whatever brain cells you have in their thick skull and kindly give Chaos a wide berth lest they destroy you. Relying on Faust or your trickery to protect you would be an enormous mistake."

Flagship

The Fleet Master turned his head toward the Defence officer again "There is good genetic material on the planets that will likely not enjoy eternal torment. Turn the defences on the planet and beam as many of the individuals on the planets to NP. I don't care whether they are military, civilian or government, get them off the planet ASAP, their defences are no longer required. Any materials we acquire can be considered payment for the saving of their soldiers lives from whatever the demons have planned."

Sol

The beams turned slowly towards the Abh planet, before opening fire on the planet rather than the Imperial ships, firing their green yellow beams down and seemingly completely ignoring the Imperials.
Ya bastard! Couldn't you have waited slightly longer before crushing everyone!
Deep space, Collective Flagship

"Praelatus meus, automated systems from Sol report spike in warp energy, we are detecting a new form of Exogen energy." The officer reported, panic in his voice "They will u..."
"No!" The Fleet Master said, clenching his fists tight and his eyes beginning to glow "They shall prevent our trap! Fire the beams, get me that flagship now!"
"They aren't charged! We wont be able to recover more than half the opponents ship at best, and-"
"Half is better than nothing, Officer, activate them! Detonate all other defenses, tell NP to prepare for emergency reception, get stasis field ready!"
"Affirmed, activating turrets... Now."

Sol
As the Collectives defences detonate, the unique turrets began to fire their stream. The same sort of beam used by the collector drones, it was designed to slowly teleport the flagship, molecule by molecule, to a secure facility at an alarming rate. The massive hanger their flagship is was being teleported too had a stasis field active, ensuring than the Imperial crew nor their ship could do anything to the station. It seemed the Collective had not yet given up on their plan of capturing an Imperial Flagship intact, whatever the cost... Making such a large scale version of the material gathering beam was certainly not cheap, the rare materials involved must have been astronomical to say the least, and now it had been thrown into overdrive, barely being 50% charged. The fleet master was determined that he would beat Chaos to the punch, and take the ship before they could do any damage to it. He had heard enough from command to estimate that Chaos would either tear the ship apart or turn it into one of their own, and neither was desirable.
The greenish yellow beams scathed across the black of space towards the enemy flagship, the crew of the Collective vessels watching the video feed with their breath held, awaiting the results of the endeavour...

It might very well be the norm, but the option for needle guns is still there. I assume they'd be a bit more expensive than your average rifled musket, so you wouldn't be able to feasibly issue it to a couple million soldiers, but the option is there.Just a suggestion Rare, would you like to appoint a co-GM to help out a little? I'm too busy for such a task, but I'm sure others would be more than willing to help if you needed it. I'm fine with a more meticulous pace and a slow start-up, but a co-GM could help things proceeded more smoothly. Just my two cents, I'd certainly understand if you don't want someone else interfering.Edit: AspenIvan, I believe there's still a bit of room. Join the fun.

So the choice is three rounds a minute if your soldiers are good or a gun no one can aim and which jams after several shots in this period due to its numerous defects as its just being introduced. Lovely.

Given that rifles and muskets seem to be the better alternative here (Unless you aim to be up close to the enemy) probably time to put bright colonial uniforms back into my NS xD

Deep Space, Collective Praetorian Flagship

"Praelatus meus, 33% Charge"
"This unit copies, prepare field activation, take aim on the hostile flagship, report in to Nova Prospect"
"We Obey."

Sol

The unique turrets began to pulse with energy, but did nothing yet began to happen in regards to them. The standard turrets continued to fire their streams of dark energy and blocks of hardlight, while the remaining mines continued to zip toward enemy ships
