Good luck both sides. Hope whichever result it is turns out to be the right one for both Scotland and rUK

If its a Yes, can you Scots do me a favour and kill Darling for me? In fact, can you do that anyway? Better Together was an embarrassingly bad campaign lol. If the No vote wins, it will be inspite of Darling...

Gee, Corustaria is 4 or 5 times bigger than me and has less people. Vanjana must be nothing but factories and apartments. I guess that could explain the instability... hmm... I'll bet the people just want a little breathing room. And there's an incentive for colonization and/or conquest!

I don't want to be this big :c curse the map for not having four conveniently located islands, I declare war on the cartographers guild! Lol

"They may take our lives, but they'll never take our cake!"

This will all be over tomorrow... Kind of hard to believe its here already, and I might be sitting through the last days of the Union (Silly Cameron, still calling it the UK wouldn't hide the fact we're divided xD)
Good luck to both sides. Its sad to think that no matter which way it goes, nearly half of Scotland will be disappointed tomorrow, and either 80 or 20% of the rUK will be, according to polling in rUK. I hope it works out for us both no matter the vote.

This referendum has caused much grief, but overall I think its been a good thing. Personally, I want a narrow No, shaking up Westminster will be good for all the UK, and a close call will see them rushing through further devo bills for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, I think, and we might see an English assembly at last.

You could make the little ones in the middle act as one.

Still too small, they fit the bill for the minor islands, not the four pillar islands or five major islands

Islands:

Far western: Saxley

Central cluster:
north west: morland
North east: lesser moorland
Southern: alswell

Far eastern: Vivia

I think that layout is the closest to what's on my sheetm save with Alswell moved from the north to the south

Might switch vivia to lesser morlands current location and degrade lesser moorlands importance, depends on whether anyone wants part of the far eastern island and/or Gowia is fine with extent of my claims (I've acquired quire a bit of land, more than a little upscaling from what I intended when I designed the nation and all, and its made me pretty large...)

One could slip into the empire and right out the other side without ever being detected. And, if someone so felt like it, they could probably just come in and start mining/cutting/doing whatever, and it'd take years for the Empire to find out.But still, if there are THREE empires on one continent, then there won't be enough space for two empires and two smaller nations.

Depends on the area, certain areas likely get more traffic than others despite being uninhabited, but potentially, yeah, as long as they choose a far off the path location and ensured they took unused routes (ideally basic roads they made themselves) to transport the goods out and were careful, though they would ideally have to forgo machines just to be sure.

We'll wait and see. I'm sure if we run out of space Gowia will amend the map so everyone gets a place, until then I guess we just have to wait for the other Empires.

A word of advice to all players, stake your claims quickly to ensure you get what you want, because we are operating first come first served, it seems
Of course, this has a downside for them too, particularly with Ducks size. It's possible we'll see a Russian Empire scenario arise, where the Lance Empire is rather inefficient because their homelands are so massive and it becomes slower and harder to move goods, soldiers and equipment around. Cant be cheap to link all of it together, infrastructure must cost a bomb. Not to mention, he has just 2 million more people than the Vanjanans, but has around 6 times more land. Thus, a lot of the land will thus likely be unexploited and unproductive, and if a new resource is discovered it might not even be economical to exploit it because of the coast of shipping workers there and building infrastructure etc and it is also going to be harder to detect and respond to invasions
Of Course, as we progress this could be slowly fixed and with that land mass he's likely got tonnes of resources, he just needs time to slowly build up and eventually he might be able to exploit it all.

That's part of the reasons I'm worried about the spread of the islands (The Great God Gowia was unimpressed with the sacrifices lol) cause I need at least four to make my nation work so no matter what one will be situated a tad too far away for my liking, and I am also worried about being too large for my population. Still, better than being trapped on the mainland next to massive Empires of doom xD
Lol, everyone looks so small next to the Lance.

Aren't their another three/two Empires to add... The mainland is going to get real cramped
