Magnum, the Queen has no influence in our justice system. She's just a figurehead mate, no real power is hers. The only reason she still has her royalty is because of tourism and patriotism. The commonwealth still shows fealty to the queen in an official manner (though purely ceremonial). Yes, this includes Australia and New Zealand. Independent Scotland would have still been part of the Commonwealth, ergo, still have queen.

Eh? I thought it was a scenario where de jure she has power (I believe one of her powers is the authority to refuse to legitimise a law, as she has to sign it does she not?), but de facto she can never use it because parliament would remove the monarchy if she did. I was under the impression she held the same authority in the commonwealth realms but for the reason that they would remove her as their figure head she couldn't use it.
Si there's just five people left who need to put their nation on the map and we're good to go :D
Interesting to see what Pseudo Russia is going to take...

Not happening, and we'll make damn sure it doesn't happen. The reason that it won't happen is that not only did Westminster promise us more powers and Devolution-Max as part of their campaign, but they even announced it on the front page of the Daily Herald - going back on it now would be, to quote Menzies Campbell, "political suicide". Westminster simply can't afford to let this be the end of the matter, it'll be the end of the three main parties in Scotland. The SNP will roll over any of them.

Support from England here.

If Westminster goes back on their promises, then I'll not say a word when Scotland inevitably has another referendum

But I am sure it will pass. I think the backbenchers will toe the party line when called upon, and even if they don't Labour are supposedly set to win the next election. Westminster would have to be beyond stupid to go back on its promises now.

Digusting, that's all I have to say. A divided Scotland has been left behind, and clearly there's a small group of thuggish Loyalists who don't want that divide healed.

I had a feeling they'd be trouble once the Orange order showed their ugly mug during the campaign.

They bring shame to the Union flag, and to a wonderful British song too.

Alright. So basically, there are certain people he cannot kill in that way? Because that would be okay with me. Though, for this one, I really want Ace's opinion just to be sure it's okay. So let's wait for Ace to make a final decision on Orthac, alright?

Yeah, no PC's or Major Characters can be insta-killed like that, though they could be killed if he used it for long enough, it would vary from person to person, but long enough that they'd almost certainly be able to stop him before he managed to tear it out. So named characters are safe unless their player is deliberately trying to get the char killed xD

And yeah, sure, I'll wait

Darkwolf, is there anyway you could be a little more specific on Orthac's ability?"His breath can take and give life, and slaves those he raises to his will" Does this mean he can just kill or raise people from the dead? I'm especially curious about the killing at will part. Are there any specific stipulations on that? How does it work? How long does it take to kill someone? If it's too instant or if it applies to anyone/anything, I might ask you to tone it down a bit. That's like a one hit battle-winner. Cool, but maybe a bit much.Sorry it took so long to respond. I saw this earlier and just had to sit on it for a little while. However, Karthac is fine. No changes needed for her.

It's essentially a process of tearing ones soul out, which I think is likely the easiest way to explain stealing life. Its not instant on anyone but the "weakwilled"... In other words, only on the faceless looks, unless another player wishes otherwise.
On the stronger willed it wouldn't be instant but a slower process, with the feeling of tiredness and extreme dreariness... And when the person finally falls asleep, that is the end of the process, death. From there their soul can be devoured by Orthac for a variety of reasons, whether it be to acquire knowledge or rejuvenate himself without requiring true sleep.
Conversely, he can raise the recently deceased to serve him by binding their souls back into their body and, if he wishes, to his will. Obviously, the restrictions apply to non-faceless mooks so not to infringe of other players rights over their characters

Oh . We might of lost independence but the mass cry of both yes and no voters for a radical change, may just bring us the radical devolution our country, north and south, deserve <3

Thank god. Maybe England will get its own assembly at last... But hey hoo, this is Westminster, so I ain't holding my breath for English devolution xD

Now we just have to last through the EU referendum... That'll be more months of worry. Will be interesting to see, though.
