Personality: Vis's ideals focus around the common theme of honor. Without honor there would be no reason for him to live. Vis has never been one to lie or hurt those who are innocent. Vis believes that one must prove themselves before trust can be given. Yet, he does not believe that one must prove that they deserve respect. Vis gives everyone he meets equal amounts of respect until they prove that they shouldn't have the respect or if they deserve more. It is rare for Vis to crack under stress. His temper is a wild beast that has made him more than a few enemies.
History: Not much is known about Vis's past but from what he has told people, he was born in Shandia Village in Skypiea. His life there was simple. His father worked as a cloud cutter while his mother took care of him. When Vis was eight years old, his father enrolled him in a class in swordsmanship. Vis was slow to learn with the katana but he was determined to be the best of his class. By fourteen years old, Vis was capable of beating his father in a battle but he wasn't top of his class. There was always a person who was ahead of him, his brother Kusinga. His brother was the same age as him but was always able to beat him.
Vis eventually switched from fighting with one blade to fighting with two blades. Though his training in Nitoryu was slow, Vis was able to create two techniques before he was eighteen. These two moves were what allowed him to finally beat his brother in a one on one duel. After beating his brother, Vis was given two katanas called Gurikari and Zaminri. The Gurikari was Vis's father's balde while Zaminri was his brother's. Vis left Shandia Village when he turned ninteen. He was looking for something more than cutting clouds, he was looking for adventure. Vis joined a crew of pirates for two years until they murdered a few innocents. When a marine tried to place the crime solely on him, Vis took the punishment of death as a dishonor to his name despite fact that he didn't do the crime. Vis murdered the marine and a few nearby criminals . He has been on the run since.
Vis has been on the run since that day. He was ashamed of himself and turned towards being a pirate again. He traveled with a band of pirates until they stopped in Water 7 where he decided to break off and form his own crew. The small pirate ship he had was fitting for the small crew he had with him and the left for Lougetown. While in Lougetown, Vis heard that the One Piece was up for grabs and posted a notice that he was looking for a few extra people to crew his ship.
Abilities: Kumokenryu(Cloud Blade Style)
Techniques:
Mirror Image- This move is a combat techinque that Vis uses. During this form of attack, Vis weaves his baldes(Gurikari and Zaminri) in and out as he strikes at his opponent. The weaving blades look almost as if they were one blade being mirrored across the surface of water or glass. Vis will always lead in with Gurikari, his left hand katana, and follow in with a strike from Zaminri, his right hand katana.
Twin Strikes- Vis takes the position in which Gurikari and Zaminri are both held vertically. This combat stance is used to strike with both blades at the same time. These strikes are often slower than the strikes in Mirror Image but hit heavier. These slower strikes often leave Vis open for attacks which is why he rarely uses the stance.
Saikuronkōn(Cyclone Blades)-This battle stance is one in which Vis pivots on his heels with the spines of both his katanas running along his forearms. This technique is known for the fact that it is both defensive and offensive. When Vis uses it for defense, he simply rotates on his heels to form a protective barrier with the blades. The offensive mode, on the other hand, is where Vis not only pivots on his heels but also steps forward in doing so. The cyclone slowly advances towards Vis's opponent until contact his made. Vis has been trying to perfect the Cyclone Blades ability but has yet been able to move at a quick pace or rotate while in the air.
Sutoraiku! Kaze no burēdo.(Strike! Wind Blades)- Vis sends two pressure waves towards the opponent in a horizontal fashion followed by two vertical pressure waves. The two waves combine together and strike at the same time with speed equal to the total velocity of the first set combined with half the velocity of the second set. The waves are not a cutting tool but aren't purely blunt. They are a sort of in between of the two with the capacity of cutting at higher speeds.
Traits:
-Power of Destruction - Vis is able to transfer the force of a cut over a distance of 5 feet by swinging his sword at high speed, creating a blade of compressed air.
