Bio

You want to know about me, huh? Well, I am a type 0 super luminous star as classified by the Yerkes Spectral classification system. Now, I know it seems impossible that a star can type on a computer but I don't care about that. I've been roleplaying for roughly four years now. I tend to stick to my fantasy, sci-fi, and anime roleplays but have been known to go beyond that. I am comfortable playing both male and female roles. I have no posting schedule but do tend to be more active in the afternoon and on weekdays. I live in Central Time Zone (UTC-06:00) for those who are wondering.

Alright now for number three. This one is going to be a long one.

Well, I want to see quite a few things in the future of this role play. You've given us not only a world which is wide open but one which has been fleshed out completely. We don't have to worry about how world works because the mechanics of the One Piece world are already finished. This leaves us open for less world development and more character development. This means that the GM(you) will have to give us situations that lead us down a path of character development. Sure, we will still need some world development situations but these shouldn't be appearing half as often as the character development situations. Our characters shouldn't just grow according to their opponents but they also should grow to match the how quickly the world around them is growing. To compare it to One Piece, we can reference the two year time skip. The Strawhats realized they weren't strong enough for how powerful their opponents and the world around them had gotten. To fix this, they went away to train and came back nearly twice as powerful as before.

I am not saying that we should do the same thing but we will need to be given a chance where we have two options, either we grow in strength and develop more as a character or we grow in ability and do the same as before. There is a difference between the two for those of you who are still reading. Growing in strength is more for characters like Vis and Kurama where their swordsmanship becomes more powerful and they become physically stronger. Growing in ability is the same for devil fruit users where they learn more about their fruit and gain more control over while they grow mentally stronger. But, this does not mean that people like Vis and Kurama can't grow in ability, it is just that they will grow in ability by developing more techniques. These sort of situations are what I expect to see in this role play. Either we grow physically or grow mentally where we either increase our strength to match the enemies around or increase our abilities so that we have more varied techniques to use.

In a way, it is like how Luffy started developing new techniques at the start of One Piece. He started off with gomu gomu no pistol technique and then developed gomu gomu no pistol shot and eventually developed gomu gomu no rocket. This was an example of developing abilities. Luffy didn't gain a physical strength, instead he gained an array of abilities to fit different situations. Meanwhile, Zoro used his strength instead of developing new abilities. Zoro's Santoryu style of fighting uses the move Oni Giri which he changes for the situation rather than developing another ability for every situation. Zoro used his pure physical strength to beat opponents instead of relying on his techniques to get him through tough situations.

So, I am looking to see chances where we can go down several paths of character development. Now, to reference earlier, I am not looking to see a time skip but it might actually become required to for our characters to grow. Sooner or later, our characters will hit a wall where they can't grow beyond their current abilities without improvements made to them and their equipment. My character for example, will hit a wall where his development will start to slow down to short bursts because his swords will start not being able withstand his growing power. Eventually, his swords might just break from the power of his hits. After all, they aren't master forged swords like Zoro's. So, we will have to take into account that our equipment might not be able to withstand the growing power. The same stands for the characters' bodies. They might not be capable of withstanding the physical strains that their abilities would place on them. Even a paramecia devil fruit user would have difficultly with newly developed abilities and what they do to their bodies.

This is just what I think we need to see from this role play.
Well, I will answer one, two and four first. It might take quite a while for me to do number three. So let me begin with number four.

I expect a character or two to die. It might be better sometimes to kill off a character just because their potential had diminished to nothing. Sometimes there are characters in rps like this who just run their course but start to lag behind the others. In some ways, we can compare these characters to people with a reading disability. They start out normal like all the others but then they start to lag behind. While the others advance along a path at a steady rate, they start to slow down. Eventually these characters will become too far behind to be saved from the opponents who would be advancing in power

As for the crews. It is hard for crews to work when we either have a character with their own crew of npcs and then a character with a crew of characters. While the character crew grows in power quickly, the npc crew will lag behind. Then we are placed in the same sort of position as a character who can't advance fast enough to keep up with the rest. So, I would expect about two crews if not one larger crew. Unlike the Strawhats, we aren't main characters who can hold their own in a battle against sixty marines at once Maybe later on in the story we can, but currently we can't. So it is hard to decide how crews will work. We are either left to force everybody into a single crew or separate players into equal crews for the sake of balance. But, unlike the strawhats, we will more than likely have a couple npcs on the ships no matter what.

Now to move to number two, I would suggest moving on to Dawn Island. It is the hometown of Luffy after all and it would be a logical first step in journey to find the One Piece.

another bump for the late night crowd
And got my post up on a quick battle against Captain Hareon of the Blood Pact pirates. I will get to work on finding fitting picture for Haeron.

Anyway, that show of power should attract possible recruits.
Market District

The loud siren shocked Vis as he was walking through the Market district. It was pracatically a natural reaction for Vis to draw Gurikari and Zaminri out of their sheaths. When Vis realized that the citizens were running towards the docks, he put his katanas back in their sheaths and kept walking. It was easy to notice that the siren was meant to ring to signal an evacuation which meant the marines had taken notice of the rookie pirates. The evacuation call wouldn't bode well for pirates like Vis who had a bounty on their had. Vis started to walk back towards the docks when he noticed that other pirates were taking advantage of this to do what they did best. Their lack of honor was deplorable to Vis but he wasn't powerful enough to take on everybody there.

Vis tried his best to discourage the younger pirates by hitting them in the back of the head with the hilt of his sword but it only seemed to make them made which made them want to steal more items. A few of them tried to hit Vis back but the response to their violence was with a swift wack of Gurikari's sheath into their ribs. The hit wouldn't kill them but it was likely to shock the diaphraghm and crack a rib or two. Vis couldn't believe that a person would abandon their honor to gain items of monetary value. His family had always taught him that honor was worth more than any given monetary value. Yet, Vis couldn't stop the pirate from stealing even after he injured them and their pride.

Vis noticed a distinct jacket worn by a man with dark black hair with a sword piercing a heart on the back. The man's name was Captain Hareon Right, leader of the Blood Pact pirates. Hareon was Vis's former captain before he tried pinning the murder of innocents on him. "Hey!Captain Hareon, do you remember me? You should after you tried to have me killed" Vis yells at the captain as he advances forward towards him and the two crew members around him. Hareon drew out his sword as he saw Vis approach him. "Hey man. It was nothing personal, I couldn't take the fall for their death and neither was the crew going to admit it. You were the person they thought to have killed seeing as you are and outsider and all." Hareon said as he and his crew backed away towards the wall. Vis's stare told Hareon that he intended to kill him. He muttered something under his breath as he brought Gurikari and Zaminri into two parrallel lines. Haeron feebly brought up his sword as Vis swung his blades. Despite the fact that the blades never connected, Haeron felt the impact of the pressure wave slam into him as he fell backwards against the walls of a inn.

Vis was standing by Haeron and the crew members with his blades resting on their throats. "You never should have tried to blacken my honor. Now you shall pay for the crime you have comitted." Vis said to the men lying on the ground. He raised Gurikari and Zaminri and drove the blades into the joints of Haeron's arms. The intense scream that came from Haeron drew the attention of several of the pirates around the area. It was obvious that Haeron wasn't likely to be able to use his arms as Vis pulled the blades out. Vis then took Gurikari and stabbed it into the hand of one of the crew members and Zaminri into the knee of the other. "Your punishments will not be of death but instead of living your lives as cripples. May you recover quickly." Vis said as he wiped the blood on his belt sash. The blades slid cleanly into their sheaths as Vis walked away from the scene, he was now sure that he had finally given honor back to his name.
It would do be some good to me involved in merciless killing of hundreds of people.

By the way, the only reason I'm being this active is because I'm currently on a 3 day weekend.

Ah, I am on fall break currently so I have plenty of time to just sit here and ponder life. Actually, I've just been sitting here working on techniques for Vis to have in the future. Although, I am sure his bounty might go up after this recent chapter. I intend to have an encounter with Vis's former captain and a 'friendly' chat will happen. One thing is likely to lead to another and Vis might just kill him. Or cripple him. Not sure which path I will go down. I will decide later on. I sure hope somebody will join my crew cause it will be a little awkward if it is just me.
Ah, so we are talking about already visible pressure waves. So, the slashes are already capable of creating visible signs. Anyway, that just plain cancels out the need to have dials so all I would need to do is become strong enough to make the compressed air capable of cutting since it is most likely only capable of doing blunt damage. The jet dials might still exist though. Then it would make Cyclone Blade true to its name. Any way, going to start working on another post.
Both styles would be hard to use anyway. The average swordsman wouldn't be capable of replicating any of the techniques made for the sword style unless they were taught them. But developing a technique for the Cloud Sword Style requires the use of clouds in one way or another. I want Cloud Sword Style to focus on both offensive and defensive capabilities. To compare it to Fox fire, yours seems to be an ability that will develop offensively faster than it will with defense. But as I was saying, I could use jet dials to cause the pressure waves sent out by the blades to appear as if they are a moving 'cloud' attack. But that form of technique would focus on attack primarily.

On the other hand, a heat dial mixed with a water dial would produce steam which would provide more development in defense. If I used a milky dial setup, it would focus on increased maneuverability which would slightly benefit both attack and defense. The best of both worlds would require a time skip though. During that time skip my character would probably get a new set of swords forged with one being equipped with a heat and water dial and the other one a jet dial. The forging of the blades is required for the heat and water dials because the blade will be rapidly heated up and cooled down at the same time. As for the jet dial blade, it would have to withstand high pressures created by really quick movement. It would provide me with quite a wide range of abilities to choose from.

During this forging process(which would probably take a few months), Vis would have to train his body to withstand the physical strains that the Jet dial would put on him. He would also be training to improve his swordsmanship and might just move from a two blade fighting style to three blades. Of course, this would have to happen later on in the roleplay. For the time being I will just focus on getting a flame and water dial so as to create mist.
