Would it be possible to be a wielder of one of the swords, or do all of them have PCs or NPCs in mind already? I'd be interested in Whisper, Vultus or Water Dragon. Or Stormbringer if there's an opening for another Tharan General.
(if someone posts before I manage this I'll change the silly monologue)

"It was a gray, miserable day. The kind of day that leaves the possibility of rain hanging over your head like a piñata filled with cold disappointment...or black licorice. It had been quiet around the agency for a long time now, and our money had dribbled out and dried up just like a rusty old kitchen sink. I couldn't afford anything better than discount bento for the last two days, and the presence of sweets and ice cream at the supermarket and snacks from vending machines had begun to haunt me like cruel and alluring sirens, threatening to drive me mad each time we passed by them to go buy less expensive, tasteless fare. My mood was becoming as bleak as the skies above."

The speaker of this odd monologue was one Iwajima Jun, currently sitting slumped over in a chair that was usually reserved for guests or important clients. He was staring at the ceiling with a look of absolute despair on his face, seemingly entranced by his own monologue. Despite being indoors he was wearing a heavy trenchcoat. Even closer inspection would reveal that he had a lollipop in his mouth that he occasionally fiddled with while he spoke, perhaps in imitation of his legal guardian's smoking habit. He perked up and focused on Toshiko as she walked down the stairs, nevertheless continuing his pretend narration.

"Suddenly, my boss walked down the stairs and into my office! She was a cruel woman, always forbidding me from watching the one tiny TV in her office and filling our living space with the kind of cigarette smoke that clung to her like cheap perfume. But from the look on her face it was easy enough to tell that she might finally have another well-paying job, and right now money means hope!"

Jun hopped off of the chair and ran over to Toshiko and despite his tough-guy monologuing, was practically hopping from one foot to the other in sheer excitement. Or at least relief from boredom.

"Toshiko-nee! Toshiko-nee! What's the job this time! Are we gonna have to find a statue with a hidden message inside? capture some mage's lost familiar before it goes berserk? Ooh ooh! We have to track down a murderer before he uses all sorts of dead souls to make an artifact of evil! What is it! Tell meeeee!~"
I'm into the sound of this idea! interest!

Name: Roland Wright
Age: 16 most of the time
Appearance: Most of the time Roland has messy black hair that tangles up and falls over at least one of if not both of his brown eyes. Roland is usually around 5'4" in height and ridiculously pale due to his powers making it more than a little difficult for him to get a tan.
Personality: Roland is a huge fan of anime and video-games of multiple genres ever since he was little. This has an unusual effect on his worldview, as these days he sees himself as the protagonist of his own story, causing him to try and act like a hot-blooded and "cool" hero.
Even though he's somewhat delusional Roland really does work hard to protect Covenant Academy and its residents and sees each and every one of the people he knows as characters with an important role to play, striving for a "Best Ending" where people can live in happiness and peace.
Brief Backstory: Roland contracted with a Phoenix at a young age thinking that it would help him become a hero! Instead his contract mainly got him into trouble when his attempts to "defend the weak" from bullies got local parents up in arms against him and slapped him with a label as a budding juvenile delinquent. Hoping that being around other people like him would help keep him out of trouble, Roland's parents shipped him off to Covenant Academy, where he's been ever since the start of middle school. Luckily he's been able to properly try and defend others since, earning him a place on the Covenant Academy Security Team
Contract(s): A Phoenix
Contracted Beings: Name: (Optional)
Type: A western-style Phoenix
Powers: The primary power Roland gained from contracting with the Phoenix was the ability to magically generate and manipulate flames and their heat. This also comes with a secondary power of being almost totally immune to damage from heat and flame, or at least to the extent of not burning himself via proximity. The actual secondary power granted to Roland by the Phoenix contract is Rejuvination, in that he can heal himself of just about anything up to mortal injuries, but doing so reverts him to an 8-year-old form temporarily. While in this state his flame powers are greatly diminished and he is unable to heal again until he re-ages.
Personality: n/a
Fusion: Roland's hair becomes a fiery red, yellow and orange color reminiscent of flames, with spike-filled styling to match. His eyes also become reddish colored and he gains the ability to generate flaming wings from his back that let him fly at high speeds. His flames also become much more powerful. However while in this state he loses access to his healing abilities.
Summon: like a big bird of prey. Made of fire. The Phoenix is about the size of a Philippine or Harpy Eagle and can generally hurtle around like a feather-y fireball with talons attached. It can also heal others or itself of major injuries at which point it becomes something a lot closer to http://www.fanpop.com/clubs/the-random-creatures-of-anime/images/13867817/title/chibi-phoenix-photo?ir=true] this and vanishes soon after.
I was thinking of playing an assassin/spy for hire.
Would be interested in playing a Seheras Ranger
Hmm...I'm trying to think of how Jun would interact with the various different characters.

I'm not sure what he'd think of a Youkai that eats other youkai given that his family's original duty before they all died under mysterious circumstances involved hunting rogue youkai and other magical threats.
Jun's not an actual employee of the detective agency even part time. He just gets involved in cases because he insists on going and will probably try and get involved in cases regardless of whether Toshiko lets him.
Probably and in fairness it says the Assault Rifle was a smuggled black market item. A bit odd to keep your military grade firearms in a building that's also home to at least two children as well but I say leave this all up to the GM to decide
