As One | Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

Prospero shot up and launched himself out the door shortly after Benjamin did, even tossing his cape and his hat aside to start sprinting full speed around the town. He would do whatever it took to become strong enough to beat the tar out of this assassin and find out what he could about his own goals in the process...and if this Vicente turned out to be the person Prospero had been hunting after for all these years well...

Prospero pushed on and ran even faster, not caring that his clothes were completely impractical for it. If his goal was really so close, just ten laps weren't nearly enough! He would do twenty or thirty if that's what it took. He would learn to really fight and become the strongest illusionist in the world! Then, after they were finished with this assassin, Prospero would hunt down anyone and everyone connected with him until the person ultimately responsible for all the miseries of his life was revealed.

Once Prospero dragged that monster into the light, he would ensure that every bit of sorrow he'd experienced was repaid a thousandfold.

Isamu hadn't quite been sure what to expect when he'd suddenly gone from crossing the street in a hurry on his way to yet another training session with just his gi and his bo staff to suddenly being in a white room full of more books than he'd ever seen in his life. There seemed to be a lot of other people here too all equally confused for the most part.

After trying to puzzle things out with little success on his own he decided to just go with things and approach the two older girls nearest him, seemingly in the middle of some embarrassed conversation.

"Hi My name's Isa-"

Then, a giant funky, furious and pimptastical gorilla dropped from the sky or ceiling and began attacking.

"Best. Day. EVER."

The smallish eleven year old boy immediately launched himself at their ape attacker, shifted his grip on the bo so that he was holding it at just one end and swung with all his strength at the thing's head. The fact that he'd been able to jump high enough to reach it didn't actually register very much to him, as he was busy giggling delightedly and grinning like a madman.

But seriously, I did spend most of senior year addicted to painkillers because of a really really major surgery, and most of my class were on E or LSD at the time, so I think I was actually a lot more sober. XD

Maou and Mayhem

August regarded the alleged ruby-eyed demon lord with the same sparkly-eyed wonder he had seemed to look at everything with so far. After all, this whole situation was exactly the sort of break from the monotonous parts of his life he'd been dreaming of up until now and it seemed not too different from a trip through an amusement park themed after JRPGs so far.

"Lady...did you know you're a penguin!? I mean seriously, you're like the most adorable little penguin at the aquarium I've ever seen! Are all demon lords in this world so adorable!? And- wait, whatsis about a grand and glorious whatnow? Also my name's August, and um...I kinda sorta just assumed this was all a really weird vacation offer. Or a dream...it isn't after all, huh?"

He supposed that might change things a little, if there really was some big mission to go along with all of this. But he really didn't have much to do these days, so if they were going to save the world well...it was still better than boredom right?

I signed up a bit late and wanted to see if I could still join in maybe. I have a few different power ideas.

History: Isamu's life was a little bit strange if pleasant enough, mostly helping his parents with running their San Francisco restaurant while learning various martial arts at their insistence from a very, very young age in between friends and school. Aside from that he mostly read a lot of manga and watched a lot of anime as a hobby. He generally tries his best to live an ordinary school life despite his parents being more than a little eccentric.

Personality: Isamu spikes between feeling like the only sane and normal person in his family and easily getting caught up in all of their high energy hi-jinks and being just as hyperactive as the rest of them when the mood strikes him. He's actually fairly smart but between martial arts training and helping with his parents' work he tends to fall asleep too much in school and so not exactly be a 'book smart' person. Other than that he generally tries his best to be a good and kind person and be nice to others despite having an occasionally bad temper.

Abilities: Isamu has the ability of Gourmet Cells from Toriko, which currently manifest as a very slight boost in physical abilities and superhuman regeneration after eating food as well as super-accurate time perception though he doesn't know he can do this and currently would have no idea what to do with it. On the other hand, he has an incredibly hyperactive metabolism that means he'll become incredibly weak if he doesn't eat and if he pushes too far his body may start breaking down,
Skills: Isamu's been forced into training in various martial arts for as long as he can remember and so is surprisingly skilled for someone as young as he is. Other than that he's a decent-ish cook and fairly athletic as well as having a pretty good grasp of various manga and anime.

Inventory: A bo staff and a gi and not much else, at the moment.
