Probably not. As one of the key skills of the style it would probably be something that has to be taught and can only affect yourself, since it's sort of an internal equivalent exchange. So you could temporarily lower your ki amount to gain more speed or strength or vice versa but the amount of power you possess doesn't actually change, just how its' expressed. If she was taught the technique she could maybe bolster her own ki with some other ability and increase it that way, but she would have to learn it first and if Guls figures it out he would probably refuse to teach her the technique.

Y'know I was considering making one of the Great Sage-school techniques be the ability to reassign points from Ki to other attributes temporarily while not actually altering your Power Level, but I dunno if that was too broken.

Or just draining points from one attribute to boost others with them, but the principle's the same and you'd still have the same amount in terms of power level.

Something slightly approaching a smile touched Guls face for a brief second as he shook the hand of the young man dressed like a superhero. If nothing else, it was nice to know that a desire for justice still burned in some of the youth of today, however misguided it might be. More than that, his questions were surprisingly insightful, not only deducing his identity in full but also noting the discrepancy between Guls' weapon and his skill. Perhaps this 'Ultra-Dimension' would warrant keeping an eye on despite his odd appearance.

"I hadn't planned on announcing it during the tournament and I took pains not to inform the announcer of my identity so that the crowd and the others here wouldn't form any opinions ahead of time. But since you found me out I admit I am the same Guls that goes by the title Green Swordsman in many parts of the world, and I do remember stopping to deal with some serious problems in Area 89 a while ago. Your thanks honors me."

His tone became far more serious for the odd young man's next question. "As you rightly say, a sword is a tool of honor and justice. However, it is also a weapon. Its inherently lethal nature reminds me that sometimes restraint is required to see injustices properly righted. My work during the riots was one of those times, so I did not use my sword to its' full potential as a weapon, but relied on my hands instead."

None of that was a lie, and in fact Guls hadn't exactly used his full skill or power as a swordsman during the Belurel Riots, but it would also hopefully deflect the young warrior's attention away from the fact that despite his skill with it, Guls used his sword as a limiter that he was far more dangerous without. The fact that he had eventually fought with his bare hands at the time had more to do with ending the crisis decisively and with minimal loss of life than being forced to it out of desperation, but for the upcoming tournament it was better to keep the illusion that swordsmanship was the source of his power.

"It seems I'll be fighting the strange clown over there. I look forward to seeing what tricks he has in store and to seeing the rest of you battle."

hmmm...yes. It seems there are several hearts of excellent purity and potential here, though only the tournament will show for sure... The thoughts of the man in the deep-green cloak were interrupted as David spoke up.

"Not the sixteen best on Earth, child, only the sixteen best to show up to the tournament this year." The voice of Guls came out slightly muffled by his face-concealing veil, but he managed to keep any hint of a condescending veteran out of his tone despite how much he felt it at the moment. It was true that many talented fighters from across the world and occasionally beyond gathered here at the Budokai World Tournament, in fact that was Guls reason for competing himself. However, in his many, many years wandering the Earth as the Green Swordsman, he had encountered many strange and skilled fighters knowledgeable of styles of combat the majority of people here would never have heard about, all of them highly dangerous and possessed of secrets that would likely astound the fighters here, skilled though they were.

Passing on knowledge of such secrets was Guls true motivation in being here. As the Green Swordsman, it was known in some very specific circles that he was master of a certain school of obscure and mystic martial arts, and though his nature as a Namekian meant he had a long time to go before he truly felt the effects of aging he had been feeling the need to pass on his knowledge and experience to the next generation as his master had done before him nearly eighty years ago now.

But the students chosen for the next generation tof his school shouldn't be just anyone. So Guls had come here, to the Budokai World Tournament, where he hoped to find young warriors who were not just skilled or strong but also possessed certain characteristics to make them ideal students to carry on his master's legacy. The Green Swordsman not always a well-known figure, for though he wandered the Earth fighting against evil and oppression he never did so for fame, and at times his actions had earned him the hatred of those in power rather than their praise. But at the tournament he intended to reveal much about himself and what he could do, enough to hopefully attract the eyes of potential disciples before it was all over. For though he knew not what they were, somewhere in his being he sensed that there were great changes lying in wait for the world and that a new generation must be prepared to face them.

"Still, your right that it is an honor to be in the Tournament. A show of your potential such as this can often lead to greater things if you're careful."

Um, for future reference Guls usually covers himself near completely with his cloak and doesn't widely advertise the fact that he's a Namekian although he doesn't exactly keep it a secret. The appearance I linked is for when the cloak comes off, but the cloak looks somewhat like this although a deep green instead

Description: Guls apparently grips the hilt of his sword then unsheathes it at lightning speed faster than most eyes can track, launching one or more bladelike beams that cut through his opponents at range. Though Guls usually uses his sword as a focus, he can also perform the technique by making slashing motions with a finger or hand.

Name: Demon's Fang
Type: Combination
Description: Guls moves fast enough to leave afterimages and attacks in an unsheathing strike of his sword, often using his power of flight to strike from odd directions while the afterimages distract his opponent or stretching his arm to give the unsheathing strike a deceptive amount of range. Is actually performed faster and stronger as a series of empty-handed attacks.

Name: Great Sage Wave

Description: A technique Guls learned only after coming to Earth. Putting his palms together in an apparent gesture of peace and meditation, Guls charges up energy in a highly concentrated and purified form before thrusting his palms outward and unleashing a powerful wave of bluish white energy.

Name: Enlightened Fist
Type: Ki/Combination
Description: Using the same technique of charging up highly purified energy as the Great Sage Wave, Guls imbues his fist or his blade with a large amount of energy, then delivers all of it in a single powerful strike. It has the potential to be even more damaging than the Great Sage Wave due to being more concentrated and as it is a simple punch or palm strike it is easy to combine with other attacks provided the energy is charged, but focusing it through a weapon instead of the body weakens it while making it easier to perform.
Required Power Level: 500 with blade, 650 with body.

Personality: Guls was once a feared Namekian warrior who while not cruel or evil desired nothing out of life but a good fight and to eternally grow stronger. However since coming to Earth and casting out his own bloodlust many years ago he has realized there is much more to life than strength and raw power. Now he is much calmer and more relaxed and he can even be very kind at times, though he enjoys cloaking many of his actions in the same layers of zen riddles mysticism as his late mentor. Having learned the value of compassion The Green Swordsman now fights to defend the weak and oppressed across his adopted home of Earth, bringing justice and harmony back to those regions of the world where the cruel and petty-minded would otherwise hold sway. In battle he tends towards craftiness, speed and guile more than brute strength. Although he still enjoys fighting he now desires more to learn about and from his opponents than to defeat them, though he will fight seriously to protect the innocent or vanquish anyone with evil in their hearts.

History: Though born into the Dragon Clan, from a young age Guls desired to wanted to become a powerful warrior. He felt limited by his station and the castes of the Namekians insisting that his was not to be a warrior's life. Irritated by this he left his home planet of New Namek at a fairly young age and wandered the stars looking for challenges and ways to increase his strength unhindered by his past. For years he wandered his way across the universe, picking fights only when they were fair and equal but nevertheless racking up a high body count. When he came to Earth he was no different, setting himself up as a brutal wandering bandit of sorts in order to pick fights with whomever he pleased.

All of that changed however when Guls met a strange old human man who claimed to be the latest master in a line called the School of the Great Sage, Equal of Heaven. Despite thinking the human a weak old fool, Guls was easily trounced and beaten to within an inch of his life in a few short attacks. He couldn't understand how this seemingly feeble old human had defeated him so effortlessly. Guls made many attempts to challenge the old master, all of which proved similarly useless. Finally he gave up and rather than fight the so-called Great Sage, he begged to become his pupil.

The old man relented and began training Guls not only physically but mentally and spiritually. However, Guls proved unable to learn the techniques of the Great Sage school. As it turned out, his many acts of bloodshed had stained him to the point where he was unable to achieve the state of true focus required to learn the techniques. Thus, using a combination of the fission techniques of his Namekian heritage and the methods of the Great Sage, he gave up a measure of his power and excised it from himself along with his bloodlust and evil. After that he was able to truly learn both the Sage's philosophy and techniques. After his training was complete, Guls left the care of the Great Sage and went out into the world to do good works with his newfound power as The Green Swordsman.

Now, many many years later, Guls has decided to try and find pupils to teach as his master once taught him. To that end he entered into the 250th Budokai World Tournament, not to win the prize of the Dragonballs but to find powerful or potentially powerful fighters to take on as apprentices.

Other: Guls is capable of flight due to his high amount of Ki and high degree of control over it after training with the Great Sage. As a member of the Dragon Clan, he also has many noncombat-related abilities such as healing, object materialization, Telekinesis and communication-only telepathy. He may or may not also have a 'brother' somewhere out there with all of his bloodlust and desire for battle, though it's more likely that his evil qualities are sealed up in a pot or a rice cooker in a highly secured area of his home. only he has access to. In addition, although he fights with his sword enough to earn the moniker of Green Swordsman, he is actually stronger without it.
