Well, the hand tremors which, outside of battle, are permanent, would help. Not that many Shinigami have that as a characteristic. Again I CAN edit. Also, when I revised the CS, I changed his sealed to Kyouka Suigetsu. His shikai is the same just wrapped in black shadows with a black and orange hilt colour.

Kaien was in the academy and one of the more Bloodthirsty ones. I can edit but the Head Captain receives dossiers on every academy graduate, I think. So there's no reason not to think that Kaien's appearance which is rather unique, wouldn't stand out from the crowd.

Kaien. The name felt unusual despite it being his. He was used to people referring to him as "boy" or some insult. After all, when one comes from district 80, he gets used to being nameless. But he wasn't nameless, not anymore. Not since he had literally fought and killed his way out of that hell. Kaien sighed and looked down at his trembling hand, a symptom of his ever constant, ceaseless rage. Clenching his fist, he shook his head and moved on; now wasn't the time to relive his origins. He had a purpose, a singular objective: join a squad. One squad, in particular, actually.

He stopped walking and broke into a run, he sword poised diagonally (think like Hitsugaya carries his) over his right shoulder. The orange sash holding the sheath in place was the only bright color amidst his grey wrappings that covered his torso and the black pants of the Shihakushō that was his clothing for the waist down.

Stopping at Squad Eleven's barracks, he knocked on the door. Do-or-die time.

Name: Kaien

Appearance:

A handsome man with close cropped black hair and dark green eyes, Kaien wears the traditional gi of Soul Reapers with a white fingerless glove that extends to his entire torso and the bridge of his nose. It leaves his left arm and shoulder bare

Age: 240.

Height: 6'2 or 187.96 centimeters

Weight: 200 pounds (90.718 kilograms)

Hair Colour: Black

Eye Colour: Green

Race: Shinigami

Spiritual Energy Colour: Orange

Personality: With a zeal for combat and cold exterior, Kaien can be hard to get along with at first. He is cold when calm, but has a temper which results in a permanent tremor in his right hand when not in battle. However, after warming up to others, Kaien can come across as a sociable, if obsessive individual. He spends most of his time near Squad 11's barracks and wishes to join them. When in battle, Kaien is utterly still, moving only with what is required to kill his opponent, attacking with ferocity when necessary; but the ferocity of his attacks are recognized for what they really are: a release for his rage. He sees violence as the only logical response to a threat due to his kill-or-be-killed upbringing.

3. Through ability #1, Kaien can charge his Reiatsu into the flame-shadows and increase the striking power of his Zanpakutō . (2 post use, 3 post cool down)
4. Increased Speed(2 post use, 3 post Cooldown)

What about this: Same circumstances, but instead of hiding, Kaien is actually raging at the Enemy and his Reiatsu kicks in and intrigues Squad 11 captain wh notices the boy's rage as well and then adopts him?
