Dealing with a lot of work from uni right now. Probably won't get any roleplaying done for a while. Why can't there be a major in uni about roleplay?!

Name: Karlie Morgan
Gender: Female
Parent: Skadi the Norse goddess of hunting and winter
Age: 20

Serial Number for prison: 0081

Powers: Can create and manipulate ice or snow

Abilities: A skilled archer; Can sing

Job or Skill: Worked as a part-time bartender while struggling through college

Background: Karlie was left at the side of the road when she was only an infant and was picked up by a couple that ran a diner in a small town. She grew up knowing what her biological parents had done to her, but she never cared for them. They didn't want her, so she doesn't want them. Living in a small town that was almost completely cut off from civilization, Karlie was taught to survive. She learned to hunt for food. She learned to survive the harsh weather of their community. She learned to do everything she could in order to keep herself alive.

But Karlie knew she was destined for big things. As soon as she was able, she moved to the nearest city to live with a relative while she was in high school. Most of the other students found themselves drawn to her bright smile and wild attitude, and Karlie loved it. What she didn't love was when she lost her temper and accidentally set off a snow storm. Thankfully, it had been near winter at that time so not a lot of attention was drawn to her, but it was enough to send her into a state of panic. She returned to her family's home at the mountains for a year in order to sort herself out, never telling her parents about her newfound ability.

After a year, she gained a somewhat considerable amount of control over it. She continued school and acted as normal as she could get. She learned to develop an attitude of not caring about things as much - of freezing her emotions, to say the least. Entering university at an even bigger city had been hard since the Morgan family wasn't exactly swimming in riches. She had to make do with a bartending job at night and classes in the morning.

It was after one of her shifts at the bar that the members of Project Myth apprehended her. Karlie didn't go down without a fight, using her powers more than she had in years. Still, the armed men overpowered her and she was sent into a jail cell.

Ever since being captured, Karlie has tried and tried to break out which increased the security measures on her cells. They made the temperature on the cell rise whenever the presence of ice was detected. Guards were stationed outside her door. For Karlie's part, she's kept quiet for a while now. But that doesn't mean she's not going to try and escape as soon as she finds an opening.

I'm really curious about this roleplay. I might make a character if possible.
Name: Gwendolyn "Gwen" Thurston
Age: Appears 21 (actually 70 human years)

Species: Leanan Sidhe

History: Spawning new muses took a toll on their creator, so most never bothered. But Henrietta knew that their numbers were running low and that soon, they might find themselves facing extinction. Gwendolyn's "birth" fell on a harsh winter day. As such, the townsfolk of Chestergrove didn't notice the bright light engulfing the small cottage north of their town border. They did, however, grow wary of the new girl with dark hair and shifty eyes that walked around with the woman that looked like an absolute goddess. They crowded the newborn Gwen, causing her to lash out. Henrietta took her away from the town, keeping her in the cottage in the woods. There, Henrietta trained her for decades on the cultures and mannerisms of humans.

For humans, it was enough to forget. For Henrietta and Gwen, the time that passed by seemed nothing more than a blink of an eye. Thirty years after her birth, Henrietta allowed Gwen to try again. Gwen integrated herself well into the small town and quickly found a budding young man with the potential to be a magnificent writer. Gwen seduced him - changing her appearance to suit his tastes, using the charm of a muse, all the things Henrietta taught her - and it worked. He was in love with her. When the time came for Gwen to take her first taste of his essence, she couldn't do it to him. She ran away.

Henrietta had been furious at Gwen's incompetence. They moved to another small town, Seymour, where Henrietta kept Gwen locked up again. Forty years later, Henrietta is prepared for Gwen to try again.

PLOT
Leanan Sidhe, or better known as Muses, have roamed the earth since ancient times. They were the source of inspiration for bards, playwrights, and painters of old. And yet, people began to wonder just why such brilliant minds succumbed to death so soon before their time. The answer was the very presence that laid next to them and offered them the brilliance to pursue their craft. The Leanan Sidhe, as some have suspected, bedded the artists and slowly took the very essence that gave them life.

Time passed. The brilliant minds have dwindled. Without sustenance, many of the muses have found themselves wasting away into nothingness. Now only a handful of them remained on earth.
SETTING
Seymour is a small town that's barely made its way to the map. It's located near the south border of Maine and boasts a population of 2400. A forest surrounds the town to its right. Despite the beauty and allure of the woods, the people of Seymour maintain a healthy distance from it because of stories about a beautiful lady that would cause a someone to lose their way in the forest. The nearest city from Seymour is a three-hour ride away, which is why its citizens are content with the small shops in their town.

Perhaps the most exciting thing to happen in Seymour is the annual Wine Festival, a week-long celebration that gives thanks to their bountiful harvest.
Entering Area: Underworld

A big, dark furred dog jumped down from a rock ledge as the player's chosen character came into being. Green eyes appraised the player, and a small smirk formed on her face. It was one of the regulars - someone who favored the child of Zeus and played like a madman. The dog approached the player, barking threateningly before transforming into a young woman.

Cosima dusted herself off before smirking at the player. "Congratulations on making your way to Hades' lair. I've gotta say, I didn't expect you'd get this far." The programmed script fell off her tongue like acid, but it was something she and the players were used to. She was, after all, designed to be the guide that attracted players with her sarcasm and mean attitude. The way she tucks a stray strand of hair behind her ear was almost robotic. "I'm sure you're curious as to how you'll-"

The screen turned black and Cosima was dragged away from the screen, barely hiding her shock. Once the screen lit up again, the scenery of the game had changed.

She couldn't believe it. The player had the audacity to skip her cutscene! Huffing in rage, Cosima allowed herself to transition into a Husky again before finding a cliff with a good vantage point. Oh, she'd love to watch this player jump into the game blindly. Her eyes stayed on the player as he navigated the cave-like system, unaware that a threat loomed in the next corner. And right on cue, Cerberus awoke with a mighty snarl from all of its heads. She watched the player scramble to fight the creature, but with weapons not meant to work against it. She eyed the lyre - Orpheus' Lyre - that she had meant to give to the player. There was no way to defeat Cerberus, only to knock it out. If only he had listened... If only he hadn't skipped her cutscene, she would have given him the lyre.

A scream of agony and the bright red message dripping with blood appeared on the screen. "Game over, sucker. See you tomorrow." She transformed back into a human and headed out, purposely avoiding the other characters of the game. She was sure that if they saw her, she'd be on the receiving end of a lecture about endangering the game by not giving the player the lyre.

The screen came to life once again as another player booted up the game. Sighing, Cosima headed for her station. A newbie. She hoped to the gods that he wouldn't play the tutorial. She wasn't in the mood for it.

Her head dropped dejectedly as the music for the tutorial began to play.
Oooh, an IC post! I'll try to get mine up, idk probably tomorrow. I have school all day today. OTL
Definitely interested.
I'm still interested if we're still doing this.
