Dealing with a lot of work from uni right now. Probably won't get any roleplaying done for a while. Why can't there be a major in uni about roleplay?!

@Mivuli Thanks! I was thinking of having the plane crash somewhere near the church or school just so she can get to a landmark without having to wander.
@Emma accepted.

Can I just say I honestly love her backstory? This is the kind of horrible shit that Badlands is all about.

[EDIT]
And on that note, I think we should be starting soon. Monday maybe.

I got Liv's intro post up. So far, we have her, a ten year old, a six year old, and a one year old on that plane. @Wintergrey I am sorry but the babies... Well. I don't think Liv will know how to tap into her "heal others" abilities just yet.

Liv Lazarro

It was a sunny day. The perfect day for flying, their pilot had announced almost an hour ago. Liv knew he was right. She looked out into the sky, cotton-candy like clouds blocking the view of whatever city or town was below them. Between the white puff of clouds, Liv saw the bright blueness of the sea. They were still far from their destination, but she couldn't help wondering if this year's trip would be at a beach. Perhaps somewhere calm and peaceful. Marco definitely needed the calm after being subjected to the everlasting noise in the big city.

Marco. Liv turned away from the window to look at the person sat next to her. Her mother - adoptive mother, but that was information that hadn't seemed relevant for years now - cradled her little brother in her arms, the year old infant smiling up at familiar eyes. The smile seemed to brighten when blue eyes found Liv staring. Liv smiled softly at Marco, before scrunching her nose as she leaned towards him.

"Uhh, mom. I think you need to change him," she giggled lightly. The giggle turned into full-blown laughter as her mother mimicked her actions. Liv waved a tiny goodbye to Marco as they moved out of the seat and headed to the restrooms. Left alone, Liv turned to look back out the window. She could see it clearly now. There was a town below them. Liv had taken to imagining the lives of the people living in the cities they passed through. She imagined a young boy falling asleep in the middle of his classes. She thought about a middle-aged woman that was taking care of her garden. She pictured young lovers sneaking short letters to each other. "What's got you smiling like that?"

She was shaken out of her musings by the gruff voice of her father. She turned to look at him - at his dark eyes behind his rimmed glasses. His smile was so much like Marco's. "I was just thinking," she replied. When her father nodded his acceptance of her answer and asked if she wanted something to eat. "I'm good." She smiled back to her father who had stood up as well to find the lady in charge of the food tray and maybe check up on his wife. Once again, Liv was alone. She can't help thinking about the past few years she'd spent with the family. The happiness she hadn't thought she'd be able to feel. It felt weird. Good weird, yes, but still weird.

She checked her phone - put on airplane mode as usual - to see the time. It was past noon, and she really should have asked for food. She hadn't eaten anything since they boarded. She turned in her seat to look over where her father had gone. She blinked. And she blinked again. The seats behind theirs were empty. Even that of the other aisles. They were empty. She saw a head bob up from the back rows - a kid around the age of ten she'd seen when they were boarding. "Mom?" a young girl's voice - she guessed to be around six - piped up. And then a piercing cry. Marco.

Liv was quick to stand and run towards the restrooms, but she'd hardly taken three steps when the place turned on its side. The air was filled with the frightened scream of children and Liv looked frantically around. Where were the flight attendants? What was the pilot doing? Where were her parents? Liv fell to the ground, unable to keep her balance with whatever force was happening to the plane. Were they falling? Crashing? Liv's heart thudded in her chest, fear flowing wildly in her veins. Marco. She had to get Marco.

Her ears felt like it would pop from the pressure, and then everything was black.

The people disappeared because they were in San Perdido right? I kinda wanna make a new character before things get too settled into the story... I mean, imagine a seventeen year old sitting on a plane that just so happened to fly over San Perdido at the wrong time and boom. No pilot.
So many Young Gods.

So many Young Gods with hidden agendas. I'm making Reagan's brother soon.. so that'll be a plus one for the inner circle.
Peridot chose to ignore Kunzite's comment - who in the stars called a peridot courageous? - and began to move. She knew it was foolish to lead, having no clear view of what her prisoner was doing, but she'd taken Kunzite's cooperation as a sign that she wouldn't be doing anything reckless. It was a foolish miscalculation on her part, and she made a mental note to never trust a prisoner again - especially this one. A whispered apology announced the inevitable and Peridot found herself fighting off a gem far stronger than her. The Destabilizer fell from her grip and she growled under her breath.

Oh, she was going to make Kunzite pay. She sucked in a deep breath, threw a glare at her prisoner, and screamed, "HELP!" Within moments, two jaspers were in her ship. One tackled Kunzite off of her and the other wasted no time in plunging a Destabilizer in Kunzite's stomach. Peridot heard a poof, but refused to look. She stood, eyes on the floor of her ship. "Excellent work," she mumbled under her breath. "Take her away." The jaspers grunted their understanding and took the bubbled gem out of her ship. Peridot remained, her hands clenched at her sides.

After a few moments spent calming herself down, Peridot exited her vehicle to come face to face with Yellow Diamond. Eyes wide, Peridot was quick to bow low. "Y-Yellow Diamond," she greeted, hating the slight tremble in her voice. She looked up and cringed at Yellow Diamond's unreadable face. She followed her superior to her office, head down all the while. She knew she'd failed in the final moments of her mission, and she'd pay for it. She dreaded how.

Peridot marched down the hallway leading to where Kunzite was contained. Yellow Diamond's words echoed in her mind, refusing to be silenced no matter how hard she tried. Experiment... Kunzite... Cluster... And Peridot. Peridot found herself in the middle of it all. Yellow Diamond had called it a second chance. Peridot saw it for what it was - her own prison sentence.

She stopped on the other side of the containment chamber - a mirror of where they were before. "Kunzite," she called out to announce her arrival. "I hope you enjoyed your little stunt earlier. Was it fun?"
Harley nodded as she listened to the girl speak. Her eyes roamed, and she didn't miss the way the girl hesitated for a beat before she'd taken her hand. There was something in her eyes - something that Harley couldn't quite put a name to just yet. Worry? Had she been worried? She watched as the girl looked back at the vehicle she'd arrived in. Ah. She was nervous. Harley couldn't say she understood why, but she guessed it had to do with being in a whole new place and knowing no one. And in such a small town too. The girl must have known that she'd be the center of attention for weeks.

"Elena," Harley repeated with a warm smile. "Pretty name," she muttered under her breath as she took a look at the girl's schedule. They had their third and fourth period together, which she supposed was good. Harley knew she wasn't a genius or anything, but she could definitely help Elena catch up on English. Ms. Woods was a kind young woman - the youngest in the staff, actually - and Harley had befriended her with ease. She was sure that with their combined efforts, they'd get Elena caught up in no time. As for science... "We have English and Science together," she announced with a small, lopsided grin. "I can help you in English, and I'm sure I can find someone to help you catch up in Science. Carter maybe."

Harley handed the girl's schedule back to her and waved away the students staring. She nodded when asked about a locker, and almost laughed when she saw the number on the paper. "You are one lucky gal, Elena. Or maybe I'm the lucky one," she added as an afterthought before taking the girl's hand and leading her inside the school. They maneuvered the mess of students in the hall, made easier when most of them simply took to staring at the new student.

Harley stopped in front of a row of lockers. "There's yours," she pointed to a locker labelled 267, "and there's mine." She released her hold on Elena to pat the locker sitting to the right of Elena's. She leaned back on the lockers and grinned at Elena. The more she looked at the other girl, the more her curiosity gnawed at her. Never one to keep her mouth shut, Harley jumped straight into her questions. "So, Elena. Why did you transfer here? In the middle of the school year?"
"Lena," Avery purred as she leaned back on the bed. She turned on her side to continue watching Lena, grinning all the while. "Beautiful name."

The grin widened when she heard her roommate name her after one try. Of course, her eyes had been hint enough, but she had to give credit to the girl. Most other non-supernaturals would have simply gaped or freaked out which hindered their ability to think properly. This girl, though, seemed to not be that affected. And she knew. "Then you should be able to connect with me with no problem," she replied, eyes twinkling with barely contained mirth.

She sat back up and clasped the other girl's shoulders. "How 'bout we go out and get to know each other some more?" She felt that Lena wouldn't be easy to convinced, so she added, "If you say no, I'll just pester you until you finally relent."
