I was thinking in terms of his metamorphosis from Shirou into EMIYA, and the cyclical nature of the Holy Grail War.

I really don't understand how the Tower relates to him.

Honestly these ones were the ones I was most dissatisfied with. Mostly because nothing really fit them, or fit someone else better.

I think Archer would be The Tower, not Death. Though you could make a good case for The Magician

The Tower: "Omen of doom or disaster, ironic demise, destructive change."
Death: "Metamorphosis, deep change, regeneration and cycles."
The Magician: "Trickery, manipulation, action, initiative, self-confidence."
