Ah that works, I am going to enforce a rule though that characters need to be named after their culture and ethnicity, I rather not have Bobs in Asia or Latin America.

About how much freedom do we have to tinker with the nations as they are? Like, are we to stick with mostly historical, or are we free to alter them into being our own creations that are somewhat similar to the original?

You may alter them somewhat, but you will not be forced to sticking entirely to the original. More guidelines will be up when I have the full OOC up.

You said you would like to take Japan and take hold/colonize Australia and Indonesia. That seemed to imply that you would not have that at the start but would be seeking to get them.

Australia is pretty big. I am trying for a samurai-airship feel, but it is difficult. I also forgot that I am isolationist and falling from my seat in the golden age. Falling from gold to ruin is not really my play-style, although ruin to gold can work. Could I maybe do a democratic takeover and shorten my land claims to Southeast Asia and a few parts of Indonesia and Australian coastline? Within that, there will still be an arc, but my people will see it as old vs new, you will see it as honor vs evil unless I miss my mark on Asian culture in that period.

Any particular South-East Asian Nations you want? I rather not split Australia though, it's a bit nonsensical to do so, if you want however you can start with parts of the coastline occupied and your trying to conquer it if Monkey agrees.

Monkey, can we at least split Australia? I just asked for that as a colony. I will take China most likely, except I may base myself in Korea if the history is changeable.

Splitting the colony in half might be problematic, there really isnt any value in that.

And if you take China, expect troubles with me. I already have reserved some Chinese Territories that Japan owned. That could be a really interesting arc between Japan and China.
