Do we really have to choose the masks our parents gave us? I don't think so, which is why I choose my own.

We could both be there.
Think I will start in Virginia. One of the thing the Confederates wanted to do was win a battle on Union land in hopes that it attract the support of the Uk or France.
That works, as long as your generals aren't getting all the supplies.
Since MrMelon divvying up supplies and men he can just act as the Presidents. As for Grand Strategy if you studied The Civil War you know what the goals of the south and the North were,
Out of interest if someone doesn't claim a historical general will they still be in as a NPC?

Well welcome on board General Jackson. We need all the veterans we can muster if we want to stand a shadow of a chance against the blue coats

I feel this is somehow revelant.
The GC is associated with the Dracs, they really don't like the Dracs. The realized the ship itself would be of no harm, it would have been obvious it was primitive and not equipped with weapons. They also have no real way of tracking said ship, so they aren't going to freak out about it.
A quick error I noticed, the Confederates did have a navy but it was to small to really do anything. it was a few ships then some Blockade runner things so they could get past Union Blockades for supplies.

Supremes Contact
"The AIF is a peaceful people. They seemed to have assumed you were a race there at war with, and just wanted to make sure you weren't them. They have been called the Seeders, named by the way they terraform planets."
The Dropship pauses and idles on the spot it was, waiting for the Supremes to calm down before attempting to board for diplomatic contact. The Equestrian convoy turned towards the AIF Fleet, awaiting to see what they would do.
Equestria didn't send a war fleet, they sent a convoy of about 15 ships.
