He got adopted by a hunter who knew acrobatics and lockpicking but the truth is the hunter is a part of a cult who kills people so when he was about to 'join' the cult (who had 3 members) he killed the hunter and cultist then he burned the place then he used the skills aqquired to steal from people and yeah thats about it.

I'm thinking of a non human witcher but when the RP starts that will be his 6th hunt so he is new he does not know how to hunt something more dangerous than 1 ghoul.
