She was, but then she disappeared and turned up in the classroom.
Rebekah Green

"Right, got it" Rebekah nodded to Tsura as she rattled off her list of battle protocols. The young Eisenhardt was escalating things further than the other students had, fully preparing for a fight rather than just standing around looking anxious and watching for sources of danger. Rebekah could respect that. They weren't fighting yet, the whole thing might still blow over, but it was looking more and more like something was very, dangerously wrong. Tsura was right to be ready for the worst. To get herself prepared as well, Rebekah grabbed her shield and grew it back to its usual size.

Toto's thrown desk crashed into the cloaked woman, but somehow went straight through her. She was either intangible, or she wasn't quite there in the room the same way the rest of them were. That would make sense with how suddenly she had appeared among them, but knowing all of this didn't alter the fact that Rebekah still saw her standing there. Something different was happening there. Maybe she was a nurse, maybe she wasn't, but now that Toto had taken action, things there were at a critical juncture. What she did about the desk would say a lot about why she was here.

And then, just because things had to get just a little more bizarre, what could only be described as some sort of monster slammed the door open and wandered into the room. Rebekah was quickly grabbing for some kind of weapon to fend it off, before it spoke with a voice that was didn't at all match it appearance - the voice of a young human. That thing was a student? Heck, why not - everything else about this place was going nuts, so why not this too?

The monster-girl was calling out to them, asking for help, so Rebekah called back to it, though still keeping a healthy distance. She signaled to Tsura with crossed wrists, so that she wouldn't accidentally use violence on a classmate.
"The darkness is an illusion. Stop believing in it and you will be able to see again. Try not to panic, we're all OK in here."
Rebekah Green

Tsura seemed to be all right now, but around the classroom, more and more things were happening, and most of them were making her profoundly uneasy. A big guy in a hoodie was going into a panic attack, and while an older student stepped in to calm him down, the general air among the students seemed to be one of rising anxiety. They were bristling, in one case literally, and on alert for some kind of threat. Mimic hadn't stepped in or said anything since the darkness came down on them. Clearly, things were not as they should have been.

Then there was this cloaked woman who appeared suddenly. She hadn't been in the room before the darkness came down, and seemed to appear from nowhere. At first, Rebekah thought that she was another illusion, the same as the darkness had been. Disbelieving her existence didn't change much though, so perhaps she was real. Either way, she was a little bit creepy. Rebekah got a bad vibe from her.

Then Toto was at her side, speaking quietly into her mind. He at least seemed calm, which helped to anchor her in the moment.
"Yes, Toto" she breathed quietly. "Find out what's going on here. Something's wrong, and I don't like it. I just wish I knew what. We're still in the dark, really."
Is this woman who appeared also an illusion? Like, can those who have broken out of the darkness still see/hear her?
I'm fine. Been getting into a couple of other RPs while this one lies dormant. I'll be happy when it reactivates, but until then I'm not waiting with baited breath, or needing it to do so to keep my RP juices flowing.

This can be in its cocoon for as long as it needs to.

A darkness descended over the room, and once again, she torch couldn't pierce it. Rebekah's first thought was of the power Mimic had used during their bout in the training room. This didn't seem to be him, but the person he had copied perhaps? Did one of the students in the room have shadow-based abilities, a sort of opposite to Tsura?

A calm and authoritative voice spoke up, declaring that the darkness was an illusion. Sure enough, once she doubted its existence, the obscuring cloud lifted, and the room became visible once more. She could see how the rest of the students were reacting. Some, like her, had reached for light sources, others were standing up to fight, and the third main group had grabbed for support, either from their desks or each other.

But nearest to her, Tsura was in a class of her own. She sure hadn't been kidding when she said she burned sun-bright. The girl-shaped silhouette shone with such a radiance that it was difficult to look at her for too long, except to note how fast she was cycling through colours. Standing as near as she was, Rebekah could feel the light on her skin, as if it were a very hot summer's day and her tanning was beginning to move towards getting a sunburn.

The elemental suddenly lurched toward her, and she felt it on her face before anything else, with an near-instant tightening of her skin. She shied back with eyes squinting nearly shut, trying to see in the brightness.
"Whoa, hold back there!" she called. "Dial it down, or you'll give the whole room a sunburn!"
Omnidroid, Incredibles and Rebekah Green

As the omnidroid closed in on Cassie and entered her amplifying circle, it's spherical body began to ring like a bell. It was still running its interferers on the inside and trying to block the sound's destructive effects, but slowly they were being overpowered. Slowly but surely, the robot was losing in its struggle with the Noisemaker.

Weakened as it was, the robot kept rolling on towards Cassie, but it was suddenly interrupted by a rippling purple sheet of force blocking its way. Violet too became visible, but just long enough to give an encouraging thumbs-up gesture before disappearing again.

Mako's message spread quickly, through Dash's quick legs and blunt tongue. Quickly, he, Elastigirl and Frozone had descended on the robot, and were working to keep it immobile. Its clawed arms whirled around and snapped at them, but the supers skills kept them just ahead of the omnidroid's pursuit.

Up on her perch above the battlefield, Karearea recognised the new plan did did what she could to assist. She focused on specific segments of the robot's many-jointed legs and grew them, causing jams where the joints wouldn't move smoothly any more. This limited its mobility, causing it to stumble and stagger as it moved about.
I'm guessing yes, because it's just an illusion, not real darkness. Maybe that could give its unreality away to her.
So, just to confirm...

The (illusory) darkness is everywhere in the school and will also affect the people currently in mimic's class?
Omnidroid and Incredibles

Cassie's call caused the robot to stop and look around at her, but it didn't appear to be standing down. Rather, it changed direction and started rolling at her instead. It had ben a clever idea to mimic the original master of the omnidroids, but sadly, they had only ever been controlled by remote, and not by voice.

Down on the ground, and now thankfully away from the robot's destructive path, Dash heard Magnastar's call and rushed over to her, and kept jogging on the spot while Mako took advantage of the breather.
"What's the plan, Stan?" he asked quickly. "Got an idea?"

Up on top of the robot, Mr. Incredible had been able to get his hands free from under the sensor array, but his tugging upwards to rip it off completely wasn't getting him anywhere. He settled for slamming a fist down on top of the thing and leaving a sizeable dent in the weakened material before he jumped off the rolling ball. He had been getting dizzy up there.

With the damage done to its sensors, the Omnidroid Beta had to slow up a bit. It's tough exterior could deal with getting shot, slammed, pounded, zapped and burnt, but getting magically warped from the inside wasn't something it was prepared for. It wasn't completely catastrophic, but after fuses had blown and surge protectors had kicked in to save the core components, it was down to about half of its normal perception, with several of its more sensitive and unusual detectors going offline completely. It could still 'see' the supers around it, but its 'vision' was fuzzy and a little slow.
