Everyone is in the classroom except:

Mimic and Nathan, who are doing their fight
Kyle and Kalinda, who are getting food
Arachne, who is waiting for second period to begin
There, posted. It's short, but I think that's as far as I'll go until Little Mx Inferno comes back, but I'm ok to leave things until then and restart when we're all able to go again.
Kumanu

"He stole my disk, Hura." Kumanu stated forcefully. "He grabbed me, spun me round and grabbed it out of my bag. That makes him a thief. That means I'm going to get him caught. Can I count on your help, or not?" The Ko-Matoran stood back and regarded him with hard yes, and arms crossed while he waited for a response.

@Mr Rage, @TheUnknowable, @Stern Algorithm

Rage has a good point here. It's difficult for non-GMs to go writing potentially plot-sensitive posts without knowing the hidden details of said plots. We can't write that ourselves for fear of needing to redact it. I also think it's a little more fun that way.

Speed of posting, wasn't really the core issue here, I think, just the need to be poking the GM to do their job every week or so. However, it seems that's going to be less relevant from here on out because...

After sending me the plot plans, The Unknowable stepped down as GM, wanting just to be a player for a while. That leaves me, as the Co-GM for all of 2 days, suddenly steering the ship. I'll take on the job, so expect an omnidroid post soon, but I beg you to give me a little time to acquaint myself with the plot and get things together behind the scenes. Once I have that, posting should resume as normal, probably 2-3 times per week, or as the situation demands.

Rebekah Green

Well, if that wasn't a rehearsed answer then Rebekah had never heard one. Nevertheless, it took her a moment to wade through the technical language to arrive at the salient point. Primary class like her dad, electromagnetic radiation, ridiculously powerful, complicated sounding quantum stuff... Combine that with what she knew of super history and a few rumours she'd heard going round, and...

"Holy crap, your dad's Magneto!"

Rebekah Green

"Yeah, pretty much" Rebekah told Tsura, who appeared to be a firstie. "Or that's what I'm assuming anyway. Like I said, I'm new here too, so we'll both be finding out a lot today. That, plus some students aren't ready in just one year. They're still a bit foolish and need to learn their lesson before they go out into the world."

Why had she brought that up? Best to bury the uncomfortable memory and move on. "So you've already seen me in action, what can you do? I'm guessing something to do with light?" It was a bit hurried, but it did a reasonable job of covering her slip.
Rebekah Green

"Good to meet you, Tsura" Rebekah said, offering her hand to shake. "Thanks, it wasn't. I've had a year of training at another school, but I'm here for my second. Have you been here long?"

Is that a request for interaction, @RumikoOhara? Because if so, you got it.
Rebekah Green

Having done with her own fight, Rebekah found it much easier to relax and reflect on the experience. Sitting back in the bright, warm classroom filled with the chatter of other students, it was easier to look past the fact of her defeat and see the positives. She had done well, and even Mimic had said so. She could be proud of how she'd performed. His suggestion for her suit seemed like a good one, though she wondered if she could ever abandon a bag completely. His advice to work on her speed was good too. She could do that - it was a concrete, tangible goal for her to work at.

Yes, she could see the benefits of Mimics methods now that she was out the other side. When she had been in it, it had been difficult, frustrating and a bit frightening, but if that was what it took to make her a better hero, then so be it. She was determined to be more than just the screw-up who got expelled from Super School for nearly levelling the place.

Another benefit of having volunteered early was being able to devote her thoughts to looking around her at the other students in the room. They seemed a pretty diverse bunch, and for the most part she couldn't do much to guess at their abilities just by looking at them. Perhaps the girl with the large jug and a flower in her hair could do something with water, and a girl next to her seemed to glow with a faint luminescence, but other than that, she couldn't speculate too much.

A few more students entered, and another got up to hug one of the new arrivals. A lot of the second years seemed to share an easy companionship, talking and laughing with each other amiably. Seeing them made Rebekah miss her old friends, and teammates especially. Starting over this year meant leaving them behind, and they left a definite gap in her life.

This seemed like a good time to go about fixing that, and start talking to a few people. She had seen enough of the Academy already to know that it was a seriously amazing place, but even with all of its charms, a year of her life spent here without a few good friends by her side would seriously suck. She had already made one sort of acquaintance, companion, or something in Toto, even if he didn't want to be called her friend, so that was a start, but it would be good to have some more human people to talk to as well. Talking to people was the first step in making friends, so here goes nothing, right?

Rebekah leaned over to the glowing girl at the next desk. She had very light hair and wore a bright white dress that made her seem all the more shiny.
"Hi there" she said softly. "I'm Rebekah. And you are..?"
@TheUnknowable, @Mr Rage @Stern Algorithm

OK, we need to talk about this.

It has been over a month since our GM has made an IC post without being poked first.

In some games, GM activity isn't so critical, and players can drive the game themselves without so much input from the GM. This is not one of those games. In a game like this one, continued input from the GM is critical to the RP's success. And it isn't happening here. Hence, this conversation. If we talk about it, maybe we can fix things.

Some games die off in a slow, all-around slowdown as the frequency of posts just tails off into nothing. Not so here. I think it's fair to say that we have three active, dedicated players who very much want to keep going and consistently post in a timely manner. I myself would really like to see this game flourish, and I'm willing to put some effort into that. I'd like to hear if others see things similarly.

Sometimes real life gets in the way of games. That's unavoidable, and it needs to take priority. It's unfortunate when players have to leave and a game dies without them, but that's the way things are. I don't think that's what is happening here. The Unknowable seems to be posting quite frequently in other threads on this site, just not this one.
Which leads me to the question, Unknowable, do you want to be playing this game? If not, say so and I'll stop bugging you to post. There's no point forcing it and that's a dead horse I don't want to beat.

But if you do still want to play, some things will need to change. There are a few ways that might look. We could try bringing in new players to drive activity between GM posts, or appointing Co-GMs to share the load and create the plot. I'm not demanding a post every day, but there are a number of ways we could address the issue.

So, what do you all think? Perspectives, suggestions, rebuttals? I apologise if this post has seemed a little harsh. My main goal here is to understand the issues holding the game back so that we can all enjoy RPing together.
