The arena fights you're talking about, what if the state is running them for amusement, and they give us a choice to either fight each other for amusement or work under them, after every fight we survive? That would give options for kind of some "traitor" character builds, while others may choose to try and break out to freedom. Of course as a state employee you would still have some kind of leash on you until you proved your worth.

Welcome to the world of The Wishking. The battle on earth has been unleashed as a terrible spirit called Noxios decided to secretely start pulling his evil strings in the world, and become it's emperor behind the curtains. As a small group of peole try to stop him, the humans are slowly but surely involved in a war that bends the rules of what they know. As both good and bad wishes are granted in plenty, they are bound to collide. Who will prevail? Who will get their ultimate wish granted and become the wishking?

A little taste of what you can be a part of! Let me know if you're interested.

Codexia Omi: "Anything you desire can come true, if the wish is formulated correctly, with a genuine heart, or if you possess a wishspirit."

Letuce spoke to the mirrage for the first time in a very long time. The orders were clear: First, find a fitting vessel, then move the human to a safe location, then speak to the mirrage. But there was no time. The world needed the wishking now, if it was to survive the upcoming war.

It wasn't first and foremost a war in general sense, more like a desperate struggle of a small group of people, already caught in the great spider's web. Letuce saw no other option at this point, there simply wasn't enough time. He would become the vessel himself, and together they would defeat Nox once and for all.

*Brrrrrak*

A weird, ear-bleeding sound pierced the room and filled it with echoes that bounced a million times back and forth. Letuce forcibly tore upen the rectangular casket next to him, and put on an odd-looking dark helmet without visor. Just in time too, he was thrown backwards into the wall, head first, and the helmet came off in the earth-shattering ricochet.

"What's the big ideeea?" a voice said, seemingly from everywhere. "You weren't supposed to call me for another century."

A humongous pillar of silver smoke shot out from the mirrage and quickly enveloped the whole room like fog.

"Ouff..." was the only sane sound coming out from Letuce in the spur of the moment.

"Yes, I know, the world need me now, etcetera etcetera. I can read your thoughts you know. I'm just wondering where my vessel is, it hurts being outside in this form."

Letuce crawled up and sat on his knees before the great silver cloud that was gathering in the middle of the room.

"Oh great silver, king of dreams and whispers, your humble servant come before you to extend a wish."

"You?! My dear Letuce, surely you must realize what it means to be a vessel. The chances of survival are close to zero."

"My dear king, I am fully aware of the consequences. I've made great friends in this era whom I wish more than anything to protect. This is the only way..."

"I know your dedication to this cause, in this point of time Letuce, but I'm afraid you're not a suitable vessel. That's why I haven't used you before."

"But I am physically adapted now, I can handle it. You know my mental handling have always been enough."

"That's not the point Letuce. To create an unearthly wishking is simple, you just need someone willing and adapt. But this is God's territory, I can't just use whomever I want. The chances of misuse is too strong."

"You know my only wish is to see this war come to an end, great king. Please, let me be your vessel so we can defeat Nox once and for all."

"You do realize Noxios is an enemy we have fought before you were even thought of? And that's quite a while, to say the least."

"But he has never been more vulnerable than now! Just the other day, one of my companions almost managed to find him, he got apprehended only moments before he found him. There are traces now, he is getting sloppy. But we can't defeat him without you."

"Letuce, what happened to your companion after he was apprehended?"

Letuce was terrified by this question, and started to mumble for himself.

"I see, so the prophecy has finally been set in motion. I guess that means it's time. Letuce, are you ready?"

"W-what?" Letuce shook terribly as he got up on his feet, suddenly surrounded by the cloud.

"Say it Letuce...Say the incantation. It's alright. You will be my vessel."

Letuce started to mutter words in a foreign language, and a shining white light shot up like a beacon in the night, as the castle was completely surrounded in silver smoke.

In the distant village of Denmas, a man enveloped in a dark robe and gloomy skin looked up at the sky.

"Finally...It's started. The hunt for Omi begins."
I'm genuinely interested, sounds like something we could play alot with. When will this RP start up and where?
...Eleven o' clock, time to settle down.

Diakonos entered the bar with an exhausted look on his face, as if he dragged several tons of pain with him over his rugged shoulders. His sand-colored robe was torn from one side of the arm to the other, revealing a green-ish salamander-colored shirt underneath. Nobody seemed to notice him at all.

"Orange juice, please," his hoarse voice uttered, before swaying down on an empty table in the corner. Several heads arose from their mugs.
"Aren't you a strange one." It was a statement, not a question. "Coming in here looking like you survived the apocalypse, and then all you ask for is orange juice?" the waitress said, clearly in a chatty mood.
"But it's good." A group of bearded vikings started whispering intensely for some reason. "And nutritious."
"Very well, gimme a jiffy then." She graciously strode over behind the counter and picked up a small glass, and poured the golden liquid into it.

"Here you go." Diakonos took the orange juice and swallowed it in one big gulp.
"Whoa, look who's thirsty. Tell me, you aren't looking to spend the night, are you?"
"I didn't know you had beds too, that's very convenient. How much for one night?"
"Which currency do you use?"
"Gekon."
"Lemme see...That'll be 23 gekon then."

Diakonos barely got himself on his feet, and dragged himself over the floor to the staircase, while many curious eyes watched him. Guess not everyone looked like they had survived an apocalyptic war. If they only knew...
