Katherin panicked. First! Why did she have to go first? She wasn't ready! Still it was winter. Already Katherin could feel the arctic wind whispering to her. Reluctantly she followed Mimic to the other room. Katherin had to think quickly to come up with something to use. "I will show you....umm... hail stones?"
Mimic’s eyebrow arched. “Okay then, icing syrup. Make it rain.” He tucked his wings in, bracing the impact of painful hail.
Katherin, you're up!
The winged man entered the classroom, flaunting egregiously his movements as though it were a bad Vaudeville movie in sepia brown.
“Alright, you lot. We have come a long way from destroying the room and the very building we stood in…” he eyed Sue with a glare like a hawk, “But the room’s since been rebuild and five months later we’re still alive! We’ve learnt our lessons and we’ve been working hard.”
“So how about a game? I call this one Show and Tell.”
“Choose Show and you show me a new ability technique that you’ve learnt and we will expand on it; bring it to practical use!”
He paused for dramatic effect and a breath.
“Choose Tell and you try your best to take me down through a series of death traps!”
He ended that last bit with a smile.
“Katherin, you first!” he pointed at her energetically.
“Oh, and we made the TV monitor bigger for you all to watch. Let’s go, ice popsicle!” as he switched on the TV revealing the grey room, and a second later Mimic appeared on the screen, standing in the middle.
What barbarians.
Want to know how people used to make fun of me back when I was in secondary school? (The equivalent of your high school I think.)
