Mimic

Mimic turns his seat around as a door opens behind him, revealing Sue. He stands and pushes his chair so it slides over to her, and says, "Take a seat Sue. While you did well, I'm somewhat disappointed. Care to know why?"

”Yes, please.” she sat down while signing. She looked at the monitors and saw replays of the major events that took place in the maze. She looked cool. She maintained a stare at Mimic for his verdict.

As Sue backs away in confusion, a light green mist starts to waft upwards from the floor. As each second ticks by, the mist grows thicker until soon, it's a veritable fog.(The fog is made from a mix of )

As soon as Sue turned around, she was shocked to see a green fog just a few inches in front of her. It frightened her so much she stumbled to the floor, scrambling backwards on all fours.

She had no idea what the fog was about, but gases were nothing to her. She pressed play again on her headphones and dialled it up to THREE which was enough for Sue to just walk along the hallway as the fog was pushed away with the pulsating waves of forced air. As she walked, the gas engulfed her, but never got close enough for her to inhale but she knew she couldn’t stay too long; the song was nearly ending.

She got to the end of the hallway, and opened a door revealing a large room.

The light came back on and Sue’s heart stopped when she turned back to see puppies chasing her. She press pause on her music immediately and stopped in place. She was so hurt that she hurt the puppies.

But there was something odd about it. If this were a trap, what would puppies be doing here? Sue’s predilection for all things adorable was challenging her rational mind. She shouldn’t be going forward. She slowly walked backwards while looking at them confused with a hint of fear.

This was still a test, she thought, puppies later!

A deep, rumbling growl emanates from each door in front of Sue. Once again, the lights cut out, and the creak of slowly opening doors cuts through the darkness. Suddenly, Sue is forced to the ground as small, furry things climb all over her body, claw at her clothes, and begin to nibble at any accessible skin.

She was in pain. She screamed but nothing came out. Had she no powers, no one would ever have known what happened to poor Sue Cassidy. But she did have powers.

She pressed next, and the pain was on

Rollin’ – Limp Bizkit

The loud angry lyrics reflected how she felt at the moment. The loud bass, drums and guitar blasted away the creatures on top of her. Sue looked up and felt hair floating and falling in the air, and at the same time felt more of those things coming out of the door.

She ran, the strong nu-metal blasting away the creatures, just ran wherever she felt was the right way.

This was when she realized a new ability: Echolocation.

Echoes bounce back from walls and there was a high chance they returned to Sue. Sue’s sensitivity to noise was useful and she knew where the walls were closest, and therefore which were furthest. She ran to the furthest door. The creatures growled viciously and perpetually, but her metal was way louder.

She, with all her concentration, sent a sonic blast and blew the door open, and light gleamed into the hallway. Sue didn’t have time to look behind her and just kept running. It was a straight hallway and she could hear the beasts catching up. The music encouraged her to keep on going. This was her workout music.
Goodnight!
