Her earmuffs fell off after the somersault, and she reached down to get them. It was a second too late, and red rubber met her eyes just centimeters away before her face jolted back and she shot away off court. The earmuffs came off again, and her left cheek was darkened from the impact. She held it with her hands to try and soften the pain, but winced with every effort as she tried to sit back up.
She heard Jack and Skan get hit, and with that, her team lost.
