She sent the text message. She was still negligibly depressed but she knew that she just staying indoors would do her some calm. She spread her legs apart 180° and bent her body forward, stretching her tendons, tense from the electric shock earlier. She played Celtic music on her headphones, and peacefully maneuvered her body around in contortions - yoga.

Sue smiled with Katherin’s reply. All she had to do was wait for Kijani’s.

In my room, a little despondent. I’m just sitting here like a potato.. You wouldn’t happen to have an acoustic guitar now, would you?

Perhaps one of the simplest ways Sue could relax was to engage in the arts, and that included playing music. While she was not perfect, she could play a range from classic Italian to average covers of modern day music. It was one of her go-tos to actually play on her electric guitar but for the sake of safety, she pushed that thought and desire aside.

Sue woke to the vibration of her phone in her pocket. She flipped over to her back and read it above her face, happy to see Katherin’s message congratulating Sue and inquired on the girls’ night.

She sent a group message in reply, adding Kijani as one of the recipients:

Girls, let’s go out this weekend! Omg what if we fought crime just for one night? Could we do it? Let me know!

After it sent, Sue sent a message to Anthony this time:

Hey :> Where are you? What are you doing?

Sue felt calm and happy with Anthony’s words, though it didn’t change the fact that had it been real, she could have died.

”I guess I shouldn’t always be so up close then.. I could’ve died, and…” her eyes became watery, and she cried before she could finish her sentence.

”I’m sorry. Just... No…”

She walked away from Anthony, and was not in the mood to skip class. She could have died, and dying meant not seeing any of her lively friends... and the lively Anthony who she grew fond of just out of presence. Something of him just made Sue want to be with him. She wasn't sure what love was, but she knew that losing Anthony would be just as bad as losing her own life.

She went back to her dorm, and fell asleep; knowing Iron Fist would be only mildly concerned of her absence, she didn’t feel as guilty.
