Sue shut down, almost instantly with the fog of fear that she had no idea where it came from. She had an idea, but it overwhelmed her before she could do anything.
While she grew afraid, she had no generic fears that popped into her head. It was just pure raw emotions of fear, and it seemed so illogical to just be afraid of nothing, yet be afraid of everything. Fear was so strong.
When the fog subsided and drawn away, Sue knew how weak she was, and how fearful she was for everyone, no matter how destructive her abilities were. She ran over to Anthony and hugged him tightly, kissing him ever so hard on the cheek.
"So strange... I don't remember what happened before this. Whatever. Hold on!"
What she wanted to try was echolocation, a skill she had not very often tried or practiced.
With a quick turn of the volume dials of her headphones, she created a single pulse-wave that resonated and bounced around, originating from her head-level to a good radius. Sadly, there were too many corners and reverberations. No good.
Sue's memory prior to the events unfolding in front of her, the announcement of the game Cops-and-Robbers in the gym, seemed to just vanish. She had no memory of reurning from the forest back to the Academy, no recollection of her even eating or sleeping. Even the memory of the morning she had to get to class again: all seemed to have just gone missing. Perhaps it had to do with the teleportation. It felt weird...
She ran over to Anthony: "What just happened? Where are we? What are we doing?"
As intense as it was brief, the duration with Phoebe and Poison Ivy was over. It was almost bizarre to see Bruce Wayne kiss Phoebe's mother in the cheek. It was hard to remember that he was just as human as any of us and had emotions. Emotions that Phoebe had, and were definitely distraught. Upon teleporting back to the gym, Sue clung onto Phoebe's arms, not saying she didn't want her to leave; a gesture of "I am here, if you need me."
No one should ever have to endure that kind of situation, she thought, and she signed that same thought to Phoebe and even Batman.
Her ability to raise volume made her able to perceive what was said outside the door. Batman was Phoebe's father.
That was so freaking cool.
Now, Sue had this look on her face whenever she gazed at Phoebe. The sort of look one also has with a phantasmic being. Phoebe was just as well as the next Dark Knight of a different kind, and Sue respected that. She was excited to see if this knowledge would change her!
She waved over at Phoebe to attract her attention. Sue raised her arm, placing her forearm to her face, an act of pretending there was a cape covering her face, and a look capable of the scrutiny beyond genius level. She playfully raised her eyebrows twice.
