Toying? No. Phoebe is merely exploring what she can do. Having fun. And yes, okay, toying

Phoebe

"I could, but I'd destroy the room I think. A tree isn't known for its daintiness" Phoebe said, even as she looked up, smiled and threw a vine up above to latch onto a light, and swing up and over Superman, landing behind him, small creepers began to cover the ground, as Phoebe laughed, creating a large Venus flytrap just behind Superman, but in front of her.

She was having fun, without the threat of Mimic copying her power she could be free with it. And that's what she did, soon covering the whole floor with creepers, which twined around Superman’s legs, or tried to. She created more vines, holding them as both weapon and shield, and then for the hell of it, created a small tree, with long dangling leaves, very similar to a willow tree - just a baby one. It twisted, shifting its branches at her command. She was laughing, thrilled now, and let the vines fly again.

Superman thought that Phoebe held great power and utility. She knew how to use it as well. But it’s all about a matter of concentration.

With a sharp, powerful twist, he broke free of the vines and spun around more, throwing off Phoebe’s concentration and de-rooting all of the creepers on the floor. He stopped and faced the tree and Venus fly trap in front of him, and with his laser vision burned through the both almost immediately.

He flew forward swiftly towards Phoebe, pulling back his hand to punch her. But he paused right in front of her, breaking through her vine shield.

“Very good, but pay attention and stop laughing,” said the man faster than a speeding bullet and vine. “You have great control, but keep your head in the game.”

“Call in the next one please,’ he concluded with a pat on her shoulder, guiding her out.

"Gee Ryan," Phoebe said with a laugh, "that's for that vote of confidence" but she grinned, and then followed Superman out. She didn't wait, automatically making several vines grow, thick and long. She made them in a matter of seconds, and then threw half of them at him, all withering and moving about, trying to wrap themselves around them, even as she let the other half form around her as a defense-shield type thing.

Superman stayed still, letting the vines wrap around him, and a shield form in front of her. “Impressive offense and defense, that’s a good tactic,” he spoke, as he effortlessly broke through the vines. The distance between Phoebe and Clark were noticeable, even in the small room.

So he devised a plan to help Phoebe think on the spot. “But you need to be able to think on the spot, adapt almost immediately,” he spoke, as he started to walk towards her, hoping to entice her to do something quickly and effectively. His huge frame and potential strength was menacing, but not impossible to overcome. Students need to be determined and smart, to know that anything is possible.

Nonchalantly, he also queried “Can you do anything else besides vines? I’d like to see some variety.”

Yeah, trouble is I've read four books this week. Finished a serious read a single, and now just need to find a new book or two.

I'm waiting on bookstores in Hong Kong to order Scott Siglers' Pandemic.

GOD I WANT IT SO BAD.

I also want to read the Divergent series. I'm still reading my one stupidly thick sci-fi book.

YOU'RE UP.
