Personality:
Growing up as the heir of the Senju bloodline, some may naturally assume that Tetsuo would be a conceited, arrogant individual, hanging off of the lapels of his father's legacy. Naturally, they would be incorrect. His father taught him to be a respectable man that stood up for those weaker than him, and his mother only strengthened his teachings, refusing to let her only son grow up into a spoiled bully.
As a result of the Clan's training, and the love of his family, Tetsuo grew to be a confident, cool-headed young man, intelligent and hard-working. He has learned that he can only reach his goals by never giving up, and his determination is what keeps him going in the rough patches in life, through thick and thin. Family and close friends means the world to him, and Tetsuo is fully prepared to go over and beyond to protect those precious to him. No matter what, he attempts to show no fear or hesitation, even if his heart wants to leap out his throat - attempting to cover it up by focusing on the task at hand. At the drop of a dime, he can become cold and fierce, especially if his teammates or innocents are injured. Because of these qualities of character, he has often been seen as a leader by friends and classmates alike, even if he doesn't necessarily ask for such a role.
However, like all teenagers, Tetsuo isn't perfect. Despite attempting to keep a clear mind most of the time, the young Senju heir finds himself rather annoyed with overly-loud people, and is quite willing to make himself known in order to shut them up if it becomes overbearing. This can easily end with an argument or fight, although Tetsuo tries to keep patient enough not to start a screaming match. In the event of a fight, Tetsuo shows no hesitation, although he will restrain himself if it's between him and an ally. Similarly, Tetsuo is quite the competitive individual, and his fierceness is increased ten-fold in games or spars, the young man hating the idea of losing. Like all Genin, he makes mistakes - he just tries to minimize those mistakes where he can.
As far as sense of humor goes, Tetsuo has a rather sarcastic, dry, on-the-spot wit. He's easily amused by clumsy or excitable behavior, and is usually the guy smirking or grinning as he watches his teammates or friends make a fool of themselves.
History:
Tetsuo's history isn't very long or dramatic, as he is still only 15 years of age. Growing up under the title of Senju Clan Heir, a large load of expectation was dropped on his shoulders, even at a young age. However, his father did not mistreat or push him beyond his physical or mental threshold - the man was patient, yet stern. Loving, yet he pushed Tetsuo to his limits, and taught him what the Academy could not. Tetsuo often spent his childhood training with his Clan, learning at the Academy, or spending time with his friends and/or family. Tetsuo was especially fond of the rainy nights, and often spent hours wandering the forests behind his clan's compound, in the pouring rain, simply letting the droplets fall where they may. In there, he felt at peace with nature - a side-effect of his Mokuton bloodline.
He never really felt forced into the role of Heir. Rather, as time went by, he was eager to grow stronger and become Clan Head, so that he could further strengthen his clan, and cement them further in the history of Konohagakure. He knows of the tensions brewing - after he became 13, his father allowed him to sit in on Clan Meetings, since he was 'of age' in the eyes of Shinobi. Despite the inklings of fear in his gut, Tetsuo was still determined to make his way up the ranks of Konoha, and make his family proud. The war - if the war ever broke out...it would cause the deaths of many people, and in spite of himself, he knew that it would likely end with the deaths of friends and clan members. However, Tetsuo felt that he was ready to take the first steps into this new, scary lifestyle. His story was only just beginning.
